Acceleration issues 06 MT

My rpms are going up but the acceleration doesn't seem to match. No weird noises and once it's up in speed it does fine. I did change the oil recently and I am using premium fuel. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Time for a new clutch, pressure plate, and Dual-Mass flywheel.

Would it be worthwhile to buy the necessary parts or should I save up for the repair. Looks like $1700 in my area parts and labor.

That price is either fair or bad depending upon which parts they use. Have they quoted you the parts list?

If you end up buying the parts yourself, go to RockAuto and buy LuK components, they are the OEM parts for a fraction of the price.
