2008, Constant EGR/ EVAP issues

So I have replaced the purge valve probably around 4-5 times in total throughout my 4-year ownership of the car. Each time it has been a Dorman part. After replacing it again, a couple of weeks later, my car struggled to start after getting gas (what I am assuming is that the Purge Solenoid got stuck open and is filling the intake with fumes causing a rich start condition). I took it to the mechanic, and they replaced the purge valve again. They said that they tested it and it was definitely bad (I fully trust this mechanic, have used him for many years). That being said, within a week, I got a check engine light again. Then a week or so later same fuel startup issue. The codes right now are P145c (EVAP system flow malfunction), P0497 (Evaporative emission (EVAP) system low purge flow detected), P0496 (EVAP system high purge flow detected). Also went ahead and checked #18 fuse in the driver's side footwell.

Could there be any reason why my cars seem to be eating up purge valves?
I also just went ahead a purchased an OEM valve from oemacuraparts.com. This comes on Monday, but I'm concerned it will do the same thing.

Is there anything else I can check? Could there be something like a short or different issue that is causing these parts to fail at this high of a rate?

You should have started with OEM from the get-go

Just keep swapping dorman valve on the warranty, so they are out of stock, and nobody else can buy this crap.

Well unless they take the warrantied part from you and put it back on the shelve

Well, at least this gives me hope that it's a bad valve, not bad car

I would swap the gas cap as my next step.

OEM or bust.

You get what you pay for.

I recommend buying OEM electrical parts. There's a reason why pro mechanics hate Doorman and other aftermarket electronic parts.

Your time. Your money. Your choice. 🤷‍♂️

EVAP Issues P145C P0497

Same issue on my 07 TL. New valve and new gas cap check engine light still on. Only difference is "tighten gas cap" message went away about two months ago but came back today. I hate to see check engine light on. Codes I am getting are P145C & P0497 Suggestions on resolution?

Thanks,
Dan
