EGR/ CEL Idle problems

2000 TL-P
I have cleaned the EGR port three times now. Including TB, lower and upper intake manifold, PCV cleaning, and EGR valve cleaning. After this last time putting it all together I still have idle/starting problems after at running temperature, turning off, and then restarting. CEL and TCS light coming on with shaky start. The EGR valve was cleaned and moving when installed. Any ideas? Unable to get codes checked until tomorrow, but I will update ASAP.

Yeah, get the codes....as that will definitely help !
How bad were the EGR passageways ? Did ya also clean the IAC valve ?

Could be a case of bad gas ! ....especially now that the temperatures are on the rise, that winter blended fuel can cause problems. Try some fuel system cleaner, along with the best quality grade of premium gas that you can buy. Try the simple stuff first.

Maybe it's time for a tune-up ! New "NGK" plugs, pcv valve and an air filter.
Check the vacuum and electrical connections. It could possibly be a bad coil ?

-Passageway wasn't bad at all (about 15,000 since last). One can of carb cleaner got the whole intake, TB and EGR path.
-Doubt it is gas, it is a all year round issue with zero difference.
-It has new, and always have used, NGK IX's.
-PVC was a bit clogged but cleaned it out and got it rattling again. Air filter is clean.
-No known, or heard, vacuum leaks.
-I sprayed most the electrical connections I came across during the dry-time of the last tear-down.
-As for the coil, I have switched them around but have not bought a new one to swap out that way. I don't see why it would be a bad coil if it runs great when cold or after the hard start and a an acceleration it goes back to normal, minus the CEL.

Get the codes read. It will help us help you faster. One thing you can do if you have a volt meter, check the volt reading of the TPS sensor. What is the closed throttle value of it?

I think I may have fixed the problem. I tried really hard to get it to throw codes and start hard today...no issues. Just wanted to update. If the problem returns I will post the codes. I did recheck the PCV, it had a light rattle so I cleaned it up again to be sure it was venting still.

Perhaps all of your cleaning effort paid off.
Have ya done anything else other than what you last posted ?
Maybe the change in temperature and the "summer blend" gas helped !

Nothing else, and I seriously doubt it was gas. I've had this problem throughout the last three years.
