2006 Acura TL Tranny/Electrical problem

What's up guys? I'm new to this forum. I haven't posted much or any actually but I have been browsing around and checking things out. I bought a 2006 Acura TL with an auto transmission back in August. Until recently everything seemed fine. I was driving one day and my car didn't want to shift and at times wouldn't go into reverse. I at first thought it was possibly the transmission going bad. I got it home and decided to disconnect my battery cable and let it reset the ecu. It seemed like my car was in limp mode. I searched around on here and came across the 3rd and 4th pressure switch thread and decided to give it a try. Installed them last night at my friends house and this is what happened. I drove home and about halfway home it felt fine but then all of the sudden my car hesitated and felt like it was "engine breaking". It then got to the point where I wasn't able to drive over 30 the rest of the way home because it wouldn't shift into any other gears. I got home and went to shift into reverse to back into my parking spot and it wouldn't reverse. Now at first I thought there was something wrong with my transmission but now I'm starting to think there's a bad sensor somewhere. The reason I feel that way is because the car drives fine after disconnecting the battery and resetting the ecu. What do you guys think? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Sounds like limp mode.....could very well be your app sensor (accelerator pedal position).

Possible helpful threads.

Would an APP sensor explain the whole "engine breaking" behavior I experienced?

Anyone know if the APP sensor would cause the car to "engine break"?

*UPDATE*

I just replaced the APP sensor and it did not solve my problem. The car is still acting like it wants to downshift while I'm driving. I took my friend along as I was driving to show him what it felt like and it scared that crap out of him. lol So, it is still "engine breaking" and will not let me shift into any other gear. Only happens when the car is warmed up. Any ideas?

Have you checked your oil levels both engine and transmission?

I sure have. They're both fine.
