Passenger Side Rattle

I know that this issue has been brought up before and I've searched previous threads, but I can't to seem to find any solutions to my problem. I have a rattle coming from the passenger side of my car. At first it sounded like it was coming from the front end of the car, (near the front speaker/front wheel well) but after further investigation it seems to be coming more from the mid/rear end of the car. This rattle only happens when I hit 30MPH and ABOVE. There is absolutely not rattling below 30MPH. It almost sounds like something is dragging slightly below the side skirt, but that is not the case. My car is an 05 TL and it is a 6spd. It has about 90,000 miles on it and I've only owned the car for about 5,000 miles. I'm not sure if it just started or it just simply got worse. I usually play music fairly loud so I never hear it. Any input is greatly appreciated.

and here (my own personal battle with a rattle that I ultimately found and corrected):

Cliff notes: check your sideskirt on the pass side first- there are a few points of looseness that can cause your rattle- it's a very easy and quick fix

Thanks. I'll be sure to check that out when I get the time. I did take a video. It's fairly hard to hear, but I figure maybe someone will be able to recognize it if they have had the same issue.

That's my rattle (the one I had)- it's coming from the side skirt- mine sounded exactly the same- not engine or tranny related, just present at > 30 mph- not as prominent at 60 mph because road and wind noise was somewhat greater. Good video by the way because it demonstrates the rattle very well.

Great! Thanks for checking it out. I'm gonna take the side skirt off and try to get to the bottom of it if this weather will ever warm up.

I really hope for you that this works- good luck! It really is a simple fix if that's the cause.

Check where the PS fluid reservoir meets the Windshield fluid tank underneath. When these get bumped/bent into eachother slightly they can rattle depending on how hot the fluid gets and expands the plastic. this creates a loud rattle that sounded like it was coming from 2 places at once.

^^ Excellent- you just avoided tearing into the car a multiple of times like I did.
