your going to need alot more that the part number if your AC line is broken. To do it right you'll need an AC machine after you fix the line and hope that the dryer (if that model uses one) isn't contaminated. Don't assume you can properly fill an AC unit with the crap you get at an autoparts store.

Put your car info in here: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ry3=&catcgry4=

Then choose A/C HOSES - PIPES. Find your part.

You might consider replacing the receiver/drier too since the system was open ($40-50). If you have moisture in the system, it can do damage.

After you reassemble, you need to evacuate and check for leak-down before you refill. You will need manifold guages and a vacuum pump to do this at home.

Good luck.

JD-Not trying to start a debate, but I've done many without changing the drier as long as the system is in good condition and a compressor didn't implode and contaminate the system. Running the vacuum pump will boil off the moisture, change it to a vapor and carry it away, but one needs a good pump and must let it run for a while after the system is pulled down.

No debate. I think that we agree. As long I have a reasonable idea of how long the system was open, then I might not replace it either. If it took me a few weeks to put a new line on, then I would probably spend the $40 to replace it. However, when I have just changed out a line with a pinhole leak, I have skipped it. ...it was just something to think about since people sometimes will spend a little bit extra just to be sure.

Also, like you said, you need a good vacuum pump which lots of people do not have access to.
