2004 Acura TL no Audio From CD
2004 Acura TL no Audio From CD
Hello everyone,
First of all, happy holidays to everyone, and hope Christmas went well. I'm posting here concerning my radio unit, which doesn't have any sound coming out when I play CD's. The FM radio, tape changer, and even Sirius XM work fine, but specifically the CD player doesn't have any noise when I play something. I can tell the amp is active because there's some buzz from the speakers, and it seems like the player is able to read the CD and see how many tracks are on it, the audio is just not making its way to the speakers. I'm guessing it could be due to a cracked solder joint in the unit as the previous owner liked to jump curbs and throw the car around so I know it took some impacts. I've included a video of the behavior which should hopefully illustrate what's going on.
Has anyone else had this issue, and if so what was the fix? I'm not really inclined to pull the radio as everything else works and I'm able to listen to my music through the tape reader (I have an adapter to hook it up to my phone). It would just be nice to listen to CD's as I have a large collection and I imagine the quality is better than tape.
