Best audio solution using 2004 Acura TL Tape player

So recently my CD Changer broke.. it is stuck trying to change CDs and it sounds like it is stuggling and won't change the disc, then it shuts off all of my audio completely (radio, anything) until I turn the car off and back on, then I can quickly hit the radio button before the CD changer dies again.

So currently most of the time I use one of those cheap tape devices that you can put into the tape player that I bought from walmart or somewhere with an aux cord out that I stick into my phone to play music (Sony Z3V phone).

looks something like this:
1pcs NEW AUDIO CAR CASSETTE TAPE ADAPTER CONVERTER 3.5 MM FOR IPHONE IPOD MP3 AUX CD Wholesale-in Car Cassette Player from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

Anyways, the audio quality on this is terrible, probably because it is just plugged into my microphone jack on my phone, and it sounds like im getting something like 2 channel/speaker sound and my surround sound isn't really being used anymore.

I was wondering if there is a better solution/option

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Dan

Plugged into your microphone jack? You mean your headset jack, don't you?

Best option: replace the radio
Next best option: add an aux input adapter
Next best option: get the stocker fixed
Worst option: what you are doing now

If you were just playing CDs, you were only getting 2 channel anyways. I have used a tape adapter for many years now. I do not think the sound quality is horrible by any means. Could it be better? Without a doubt, but I am not in my car enough to justify the cost or time to install some other AUX in solution.

What's a tape deck?

Also, what's a CD?
