05' acura tl passenger window problem
the window at 1st could go down but when i made it go up auto. it would go half way then go back down again, i have to bring it up by holding the switch up, now it wont go down at all.. i took out the panel n tested out the switch, by my knowledge the switch seems to b fine it sends signal to the wire by the regulator/motor, but i wanna make sure it is fine, cause theirs other wires.. so anyway can someone help me out on this, i believe its the regulator/motor, if so, then i need help taking it out, like a manual or something n hopefully i can fix it
please n thank you

Not sure if this applies but I have had similar problems with other cars electric windows. The guy I had work on the problems(all he does is car windows and door handles, mobile service, very good at his stuff), is a firm believer in squirting silicon into the window tracks monthly (seems excessive) and keeping the window edges very clean. The increased resistance caused by sticking..... can make the windows stall or reverse. Its worth trying a 6 dollar can of silicon with the skinny tube applicator

Riddle me this.... I have the problem in the passanger side not wanting to roll up all at once sometimes. It goes back down. It takes a few tries or you have to baby it and do a little at a time. And sometimes all the windows except the drivers window work. You can hear the clicking in the switches but nothing happens. ???

There is a TSB on this issue with a solution! Check out the 3G garage, TSB INFO for more information and a PDF of the solutions! You can also take it to your dealer and have them perform this under good-will if honda approves it if out of warranty!

c'mon guys.. this is beyond frustrating.. It's NOT the regulator. It has something to do with the auto feature.
I just installed a new motor, and it was going all the way up and down until I accidentally hit auto down. It went all the way down, and then it would only roll half way up. and when I hit auto up, it rolls all the way down, then less than halfway up.
This is so frustrating, because I want to get my fucking windows tinted and have to fix this first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link! Took a pix of the TSB. Will add cleaning the track to cleaning list and getting silicon spray.
This happens to me at all the wrong times: when it's raining, when I am in a hurry, when it's cold....aaarrrgggh.

I had the same problem on my 04 TL drivers side window where it just fell into the door compartment. Ended up just getting a brand new regulator with motor from advance auto parts for like 100 bucks and installed it myself. Took about 2 1/2 hrs bc it was a little bit of a pain in the ass. The dealer said the window is to heavy for the pulley cable that lifts and lowers the track.

I've been having the same issue with the passenger window on my 06' base. Tried resetting and spraying it with silicone spray but nothing worked, was stuck having to actually push the window up any time it was rolled down. Finally bit the bullet and bought some Honda Shin-Etsu grease off of amazon and ran the grease throughout my all my window tracks and it's like new. My entire problem was dirty window seals!
