Auto down function & window tint

Just finished tinting my windows about 3 days ago and today I attmpted to lower my driver side window for the first time. They work but my autodown features are not working. Has anyone had this issue? I did the tint myself I perfer my own work to a shop anyday I always use pre cut kits from snaptint.com and I completely remove all the side windows and bring them inside my house to completely avoid dust a debris. I suspect the "safety" feature is kicking in becasue of the slight increase in resistance. However its not like I went completely to the edge there is about a cm+ on each side where it slides in the channel (plus this is computer cut exact fit no trimming). Any ideas from anyone before I take a look at it later today?

+1 for window reset:

If your window is all the way up, keep the switch pressed all the way down to bring the window all the way down, and once it's down, keep the switch fully pressed for about 3 more seconds. Afterwards, do the same thing with the switch going back up. This should do the trick.

I actually was hoping someone else came up with the answer first, so I wouldn't have to type as much.

But, I believe this is pretty universal in resetting the windows. My A4 worked the same way.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a question that's sorta related, I got my remotes separately today and I programmed them. I can get the windows/roof to go down/in when I hold the unlock button. But I can't get the windows to go back up when I hold the lock. Is it suppose to go back when you hold the lock?

The windows only go down with the stock setup I believe you can install a module that will allow you to get them back up

No. You have to get the KP Technologies Window Roll-Up module.

Thank You Princlybug

I know this is an old post but my 07 TL had the same problem -- called the dealer and the guy made an appointment for me to bring it in to get the "regulator reset." I asked him if this was something I could do and he said "Oh no -- I don't even know how to do that." So before I left this morning to waste a 1/2 day (the dealer is many mile away) I googled and found your post and fixed it. I will of course take full credit when I tell my wife how I again fixed her car...Thanks for helping my marriage --

Regulator bad

I've had a similar problem since I bought my 05 TL new, I just never took it to the dealership because it never really bothered me and I didn't want to be inconcovenienced. Whenever I tried to close the passenger side window with the AUTO up feature, it would stop midway, and I would have to close it by holding the switch halfway (non AUTO). Well, I finally took it in a couple of weeks ago (out of warranty now), The passenger side window regulator needed replacement, at a tune of $250. ouch. I sucked it up and had them fix it.
