Nah, that's an expensive thing to get into. I wouldn't mind the seats being a bit more race-like (wrapping around the sides) but that's about it. I like them enough to not want to change them.

Ah...yeah, those are pricey chairs. Still, it would be a neat idea.

-_- realllllly? Reallllllly? It's ok. It's bc I didn't say it in person. Guaranteed if we were all sitting in the same room you guys would be cracking up. You are all blabbering fools and laugh at all our corny jokes in person.

And no way I would on the seats. I have seen it done, and to each his own, but irregardless of money, I just feel like those seats do not belong in a TL. Rsx, maybe? I think that seeing them in too many civics has put a bad taste in my mouth.

Only if they match the wheels.

Thanks, GP!

I thought the red could do to the positive side of battery but the fuse box works too!

With that wiring, I have complete control over them, correct? Turn on at any time?

The red wire looks cleaner wired to the fuse box I find.
You can wire it to the positive of the battery if you want, though.

With that wiring I labeled, they will be dependent on your DRL/fog lights.
That means (Assuming your inspire switch is set on) when you flick on your DRL/upper fogs, the lower fogs will turn on. When you turn off your DRL/upper fogs, the lower fogs will turn off.
NOTE: If your DRL/upper fogs are set on, BUT your inspire switch is set to off, the lower fogs will still be off.

If you want them to become independent, instead of wiring the red wire to "fog light/DRL wire", you could wire it to any fuse that's on when you turn your car on (I think swoosh mentioned it).
That way you can turn it on and off any time you want as long as your car is started. Independent.

GP,

This is what I want
Turn on my parking lights.. leave them on.
Turn on my inspire fogs.. leave them on.

Take out the key. Lock the car

When you unlock the car, inspire will turn on as well.
NO headlight.

Possible?

That's how I have my accord fogs wired.
It's so awesome locking/unlocking my car while the fogs blink.
If you're using an HID kit, it's not advised you wire it this method because blinking HID puts strain on the ballast and causes premature failure.

The parking light wire is located on a harness to the left behind the driver's lower dash. Not too hard to get to. Tap the red wire there (on my diagram that says "goes to fog light/DRL wire").

Where is the fuse for headlights? What if we connect the red wire to the headlight?

I guess that will solve it right?

Then you would make them only come on when the headlights were on (like J).

Exactly. That's how rockstar has his wired; to the low beams.
They would only be able to come on when the low beams are on.

If you're using HIDs - wire it to low beams or wire it independently.

Safe =)

Your inspire fogs will only be able to come on if your upper fogs are on.

Austin, I personally like things to be independent....

I have my lower fogs wired so they are independent...
I will be wiring my upper fogs so they will be independent as well....

I like seeing the car with different lights and options

At times I will drive with only the parking light on....at times only the lower fogs....at times both.....and at times with all the lights on LOL....independent lights help you achieve that and they dont put much stress on the already loaded fuse...

Did you check the output on the 6k hids?
or atleast if they are working or not?

No.

Do you know if RV6 JPipe is lighter than the stock one?

it's DEFINITELY lighter...the oem jpipe was fkn HEAVY.

I like independent too...but I hated remembering to turn on/off the fogs...so I just wired mine to come on with low beams...and the switch to turn off if need be.

Austin, did you just accidentallly admit taht you had your mother install your jpipe for you?
Are you kidding, you couldn't tell that you could lift the rv6 with one hand and you probably couldn't lift the oem one on your own? Most of the weight is in the rear cat.

Yup. I mean, there are performance mods, aesthetic mods...or mods that kinda do both...

But, for the most part, I think you guys are in the market for looks first and foremost...and there's nothing wrong with that!

yeah, all show, no go. That's my motto...
being honest with yourself about what your car's good at, and just enhancing/loving that...saves lots of headaches and unhappiness in the future.

@ Jpipe...
you will save some weight only because of the 3rd cat delete as Jeremy pointed out....

Jeremy, I understand but its not tooo hard LOL....hit the fogs switch and turn the sidemarkers off

but I like your habits...as we have mentioned before and admitted, we are very similar in how we do things

Here was my problem with fogs being triggered okay to be one by the sidemarkers or parking lights...they'd blink with the lock/unlock function. Bad news for the HID's. I had my nokya's wired that way on the RSX and did always love the blinking on/off...on the TL, I had it that way for a bit but hated having to remember to turn them on/off so I reran the trigger wire back to the engine fuses to low beam.

Austin....your car has honestly come a long way....

I look back by only a few pages and you have made a lot more progress recently...

First 50 odd pages were just talk and the next 36 pages are more of a transformation !!!

You guys are doing is great...you, Meko, (couple other new folks on the forums)....y'all are quickly becoming the favs on the forum...

LOL you are right....that is a horrible way to wire them (being very honest)....whether HID's or Halogens...

I have it wired to an independent switch and I turn it off before turning the car off....takes a little load off the tiny battery and does put load on the starter/battery when turning the car on

Its like somedays you wanna see the car with only lower fogs on....somedays with everything on and somedays with only parking lights on....independent wiring helps me achieve that

PS: am not saying how it did it is wrong....its another way to wire...in the end, as I always say, your dime, your car ...good looking car at that
