Austin, you should already know this from my setup. You won't get rasp or the tinnny sound when you add the j-pipe, so you won't need to wrap it.

Austin!!!!!!!!!!

Did you test your 6K HIDEXTRA HIDs???
What color is the output?

I was going to say.. I have Type-S bar with stock suspensions
Go higher

but when it comes to you..meh just go with Type-S
you don't drive a lot

but replace the links with MOOG when you get down there too.
I replaced both front/rear but not sure if J. wants to the the fronts
Takes time

I never thought of that until last Summer J.

I was getting a rasp with my Stage 2.
But last summer I tried Stage 4 blah blah, took out everything, even resonator..

anyways, I knew a guy that was doing a clean job. That's why I went to him
After he redid my Stage 2, I didn't get anymore raspy tone

Today, it sounds nice and deep.

Welding really plays a big role

I have not tested any lights

But I have one upped you

I installed my RV6 V3 J-pipe!

I don't have pics of it installed but I assure you, it is there!

Beleive it or not, my skinny ass installed it all alone. "wut, you didn't need J?"

Here is a few pics

(Pics are unedited)

Next time I have to jack the car up, I'll try to remember to snap a few pics

First impressions: It has made the car slightly louder with the addition of my Stage 3. I notice it gives it a deeper tone at idle, sounds bassier. Where the stage 3 really gets louder (2500-3000 RPM) the J-pipe has helped louden that as well. At 3500 I have some rasp, but over time, I hope this goes away.

Overall, I'm happy with it. But it still needs moar loud. I blame J for letting me hear the True Duals. Making that teenager come out a little, I'm almost done with my teen years!

I wanted to go with the RV6 at first so I'm JELLO! ...and then after thinking the Non Res and Cat-Delete was the way to go I almost felt like it was too loud until i drove for the first time and my heart fluttered...LOL Hence my giggle in my video #schoolgirlmoments

yes exactly. Stage 3 exhaust mod is removing the mid muffler and replacing the stock resonator with a magnaflow or dynomax..(austin and I both went the dynomax direction)

cool thanks, this Sunday I'm deleting my mid muffler and will look into a resonator (maybe dynomax) to replace my stock one. how do u like the sound thus far and how much will I notice after just my mid muffler delete? also is there a specific model u recommend as far as the resonator is concerned?

Well... i didnt delete my mid muffler so i cant really speak to that, only because i have pcd's and the v3 jpipe already and didnt want to fight with too much rasp. I did use the dynomax 24235 i believe with the above setup and i love the sound. Only a little bit of rasp at 3500-3800 rpm but is really throaty and growls at idle.

I loved my stage 3, the tone it makes is awesome, I bought the J-pipe to make it louder.

If you don't plan on adding a J-pipe you should be okay just removing the mid muffler the longer resonator (Dynomax) helps to cure rasp and drone. You shouldn't have either with just a mid muffler delete.

Even though I have the longer resonator, I now have rasp at 3500 RPM. It's okay...but not something I want sticking around.

And I still want moar loud.

Btw, if you decide on a resonator, you're going to want the Dynomax part number 24235.

I'm going to guess it is 2-5 HP gain? The sound is what it's really all about though.

I'll have a video soon, Need to find a place I can get the car moving without anyone disturbing me.

J told me it made his louder! Could have been his shorter resonator though. If he still had his setup, mine would probably sound deeper. I am happy with the pipe, don't get me wrong, just wish it was louder, catback?

I know it'll probably be a little while until you get catback but which one are you leaning towards? Whatever you do, don't get the Saturn V rocket boosters.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to delete both the mid muffler and resonator Sunday and drive it for a week or so to see how I like it. if I don't like it ill buy the dynomax resonator at a later time. what do u guys think? (sorry Austin but I'm gettin great responses here lol) I'm running a stock exhaust with a cai and stock type s mufflers right now

Tyler, Tsudo has my eye...but only that...$450 shipped is cheap as hell, maybe even worth a try? I'd put my stock tips or find beefier square tips, I love the way they fit the bumper too much to trade them for huge coffee cans. If not the Tsudo, ATLP non resonated.

With that I think you should be okay...maybe a little rasp at certain RPM's but not much. If you add a J-pipe or test pipe. to the max.

ur saying ill have more rasp once I add the J pipe and test pipes right? that won't be till summer prolly unless the opportunity presents itself but once I do those I'm gunna need a resonator to keep the rasp under control?

I think you'll be okay with a res and mid muffler delete.

As soon as you add a J-pipe or test pipe to that (deleting 3rd cat) it will add rasp like crazy. Which is a

It would be a good idea to add the resonator when you install the J-pipe or test pipe later this summer.

Austin, i told you the exact same thing what Justin told and what SICK told....Jpipe doesnt do much for sound....

I didnt wanna press my point tooo much and argue with Jeremy too much as it didnt go down too well when i told him the same thing in Richie's thread....

the Jpipe will not add noticeable sound or rasp....it does make the exhaust flow a little bit smoother with mandrel bents and a very easy Y merge and a cat delete (3rd cat)....

also I would expect around 6-8whp range from it....congrats on your first performance mod (amirite?)
