it's gonna be a bit guys...have other things I need to get done before giving him a hand with those. I'm already tearing up thinking about him doing the jpipe by himself this weekend. Our little one is growing up so fast.

Yes, J spilled the beans on me.

I got the RV6 V3 pipe, I'll also be ordering a Type-S rear sway bar soon. After that it's tail lights and I'm DONE! I need to stop for a while.

couple things which I would highly suggest:

wrap the V3 jpipe...its adds to the tone and removes the "tin-ny" noise from the exhaust...I suggested the same to Jeremy and I bet he will concur that its easier to wrap while the jpipe is off the car

and why the Type S rear sway bar when you can get the Progress rear sway bar with bushing for $100-ish (sorry I havent seen the prices lately, but keep an eye on the BM)....do get the moog end links with those, it adds to the handling

- type-s bar plus bushings and end links is way cheaper then the progress
- with the lame base auto fsb the type-s is a better match (imo)
- and I'm not sure how the Moog adds to performance at all. I just thought the design was less prone to wear and tear...

What Chad said.

Progress will end up being well over $150 all said and done. Type-S sway bar is $30

I plan on getting new endlinks but if mine are in good condition, they will stay.

Chad, I do agree with you from the RSB point of view....I always knew I was going to be upgrading my front sway bar to a Type S and hence wanted to get progress for the rear....plus I got side tracked by the 3 settings it provides LOL

on the moog end links, from what I have read, due to the difference in length (moog is slightly longer) they tend to keep the the balance and hence aid in handling....this was posted somewhere on the forum which is copy pasted to my "mod justification excel" LOL....

PS: I would have suggested adjustable rear end links but I dont think any of us (who dont track their car would need that amount of precise setting)

When you lower your car with aftermarket coilovers, the swaybar is moved from the ideal factory geometry to an offset that decreases the ability of the swaybar to perform. The swaybar frame mount and the end of the bar should be on the same horizontal plane. The factory end links are a solid piece. When the car is lowered, the OEM links cannot compensate for the longer length needed to keep the swaybar in its ideal location. Get immediate response from your sway bar and precise control over your suspension. What this means to you is tighter, more responsive handling.

I'm not looking to get balls deep in it...I daily the car and I live in flat ass FL, no hot roads to pep around on. I just want it to kill most of my body roll.

balls deep? buddy now that you got the jpipe, you are nose deep in this shit LOL

I daily my car too....I like a stiff suspension and NO BODY ROLL !!! I have been talking with Matt (IHC) on different ideas to strengthen the chassis and make the chassis stiffer....but thats how I like my daily to drive

I was just giving out suggestions and backing my point....its your car and you shall mod it the way you want to....

I totally agree with you on the "no point in changing the end link if it doesnt need to be changed" but I was just gonna make sure you dont end up making the ride worse....

since you said, the bar is only $30....try it....see how it feels....if you dont like it, put it on BM, if you like it and it handles a lot better:

Good call on the Type S RSB, makes the most sense for a base.

I'd sell you mine since it is just sitting in the basement, but I don't know if it would be worth it to ship it.

Haha yeah, I have no doubt you daily your car a lot harder than me.

I'm stuck in traffic a lot but there are a few turns where body roll is not welcome I figured for $30 I can't go wrong.

I would love to have the Progress bar but it's a lot stiffer and larger compared to the base FSB that it will throw the balance off. I don't see myself ever tracking this car or driving it past the limit, I have a lot to learn before pushing this car as hard as it can go. To be quite honest, it scares me sometimes.

Thanks, KJ! Most likely not, I can get a brand new one from the dealership close to $30, helps having family in the car business!

wrap the jpipe. it does help make the growl a little "deeper" although I mainly did it to get rid of the rasp I had with the shorter dynomax resonator.

then again, you're looking for more sound too so don't wrap it...see how it sounds first...you might be happy with the bit louder it'll be AND not have rasp.

you shouldnt have any rasp austin... i didnt have any rasp with my jpipe and oem resonator.. it wasnt until i did the pcd's that i got rasp.

Do what J suggested and wrap it anyway just to be safe.

Hey,

To answer your question (my PM box is full lol)

It is safe to wire your inspire fogs to your upper fogs.
I would first make your upper fogs independent using Roger555's DIY.

Then use an "add-a-fuse" for the inspire fog's trigger wire and tap it into your upper fog fuse (should be a fuse in your engine bay fusebox).

That way your inspire fogs will piggy back off of your upper fogs.
Whenever the upper fogs turn on, the inspire fogs will turn on (given the inspire cabin switch is in the on position).

Make sense?

If you want, send me a picture of the fog light harness and I'll add annotations to every wire and where they should go.
In fact, I insist =)

Get that J-pipe installed Austin. Waiting for pics.

Just don't forget to wipe it down real good before you start your car so it doesn't blue your fingerprints all over it.
