Man what a great idea, did you try this before you actually painted the wheels?

Just wondering if the peeling off will actually work, in theory it's a plan but you know sometimes things don't always work out.

I so plan on doing this method now..

yes i tested the method out on a spare wheel i had. the plasti dip pulls off in sheets...kind'of like when you get a sunburn and your skin peels.

also, for any stubborn areas...a mix of WD-40 and pressue washer will take this stuff right off.

That's great to know...especially since I already own a 2600 psi pressure washer...that'll take that finish RIGHT OFF>

Well, probably 4 cans of plastidip worth dispersed over 4 rims and minus the can itself. Ounces, we're talking here...go for it...

If you're that dedicated...shoot, sand the finish off the rims and run lightweight lugs and only put 2 of them on!

Y'all dieters are NUTS, that's why i haven't decided to start. Cause I'm already NUTS...so if I did it, I'd probably be driving around without a steering wheel...and get a haircut every 2 days...no underwear...remove some of my teeth. Make sure to pee/poop and skeet before driving. It is a neverending sickness!

too much weight? Painting wheels... Not the fact we have 19s and can weigh maybe a pound or 2 more then stock even being light weight or the fact that some of us added a box and sub (audio) that weighs 25-50+ lbs... IS THIS BAD? and should not be done?

I am sure we all can go back and forward with this issue, like Politics & Religion...lol! I don't mean to open a can of worms here

+10000 ~ Like U Jer... I don't understand for the life of me the "DIETERS"...lol! If u wanted to be so light, get a EG/EF Civic and boost it! Fast & Light like a Go Cart I personally got or was always attracted to the TL for its styling and comforts of sport and luxury. Not to hollow it out.
