She sold...
So, the story is, I had sporadically had contact with a few people that were trying to get funds together, or work around their schedules to take a look at the car. Then, Tuesday at noon, I missed a call from South Carolina. Leaves a coherent and well spoken message for me. I give him a call back and we talk for about an hour and a half.

I knew within 2 minutes of talking to him that he'd be the guy I sold it to.
14 years with the Air Force, just got back from Afghanistan ...headed to Syria in a few months. A true car guy, at that...almost my age, and oddly enough, grew up living a few miles from where I live now. We agreed on the price and discussed him flying in to spend a week here to see his old friends.

Sure enough, every day, we said we'd prepare this and that, plane ticket purchased, loan secured, bill of sale/title prepared...

Then yesterday, worked early to pick him up early...went to the airport to pick him up. It was fantastic, super nice...super cool...we went to the bank and finalized the transaction, signed over the car and handed the keys. Then headed over to funky buddha brewery to hang out and shoot the shit. I honestly couldn't have found a better new owner for the car and I look forward to seeing what he has planned for her in the future!

Of course...as luck would have it...CD read error as soon was we get back into the car...then notice the intake tubing has a tear in it...
She was MAD AT ME!!!

then, we parted ways...and yes, I actually did shed a tear. Felt like I was losing my first love. About an hour later, he calls me...says it sounds like the car was running on truck tires...FUCK ME...I did hear a noise a few days ago when driving in the rain, but I assumed it was the tires on the very wet roads. Went away...didn't appear during our little ride around town.

I didn't sleep well, thinking he might be thinking I was hiding something or just ruining an overall feeling of elation. Anyway...I sent him to Acura of Pembroke Pines and Mike/Jon/Jean took care of him...turns out it was one wheel bearing that they had in stock. He had that, the intake tube and an alignment done...
I offered to pay for it because it was unforseen, but the damn guy is such a class act he insisted I just buy him a beer instead and that he's extremely happy with the purchase and how smoothly the car rides and how it looks.

I think we both walked away happy...Kleighton, I'm glad to have met you...and I'm glad to know that my old girl will be well looked after. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with it!

J.

Its a happy and sad day for you buddy. I wished i could've bought the car but with the shipping it didn't make sense financially even at the price you told me. But im glad you were able to find a good home for it.

Congrats on the sale man! I know it's bittersweet with all that time, money, and effort put into it, but looks like it went into good hands and now you have a type s beast!

Bittersweet

The KBP is stunning in every way imaginable (other than it's driver) but the NBP is what brought you here. I'm extremely excited for you J, but the NBP will be missed. I'm glad it found a good home and that your liked the new owner so much.

Very well done

Until she gets to be two years old and all you want to do is hide out in the garage in your car for a while.

Not saying that I do that.... I mean of course not.... I love my kids, but sometimes....... They test you.

No. BG33P. Blue Green Paradise Pearl. More of a teal than the dark green I believe on her GSR.

This was my integra before I sold it. First car I decided to start modding.

Very simple. K&N oversized 4in cone filter on a 4in blox velocity stack. DC test pipe to DC full catback.
Blackworks bracing front and rear. Function Form Type 1 coilovers.
Then little things like lighting, front lip, the only reps I'll ever own (Konig ftw), window visors, etc etc.

It was a fun little car. I miss it every time I see a picture of it.

Well if I'd have known I could have hung out with you at Funky Buddha drinking Muy Bonita's, this might have influenced my decision...

JoeJoe...damn right, brother...we'd have chopped it up for sure! Clay and I text a bit all weekend and I'm happy to report that he seems to be enjoying the car as much as I did. I'll be linkin up with him again before he leaves, probably Thursday for a beer. Gonna be awesome.

The love for the car, the sale, and the drive-away video all make for a great story. 2/3 cars I cared for and sold were totalled quickly after the sale.

Damn, man...really??!
Well, for his sake, I really hope that's not the case!
He registered in FL with a Heat plate...
Funny, but it's destiny cause that's the plate I WANTED to do for the car after the American Red Cross!

Jeff, that's awesome, man...oddly, after driving the SI for a year, it felt really weird shifting so low on the RSX!
