Get with the guy who just rebuilt his TL on the Youtube channel to see if he'll cut you a good deal on painting the car!

Yeah yeah...I do have a problem but I believe in fate.
What are the odds...the guy originally tried to trade an S2000 but I wasn't interested. When we met up it was for the S4 but I happened to mention the S5 and he wanted to test drive it after seeing a photo.
He shows up in a clone of my old baby...I didn't jump at first but I slept on it and trust me, all things considered I did okay. Now I need to decide how deep I'm gonna go...it needs a slave and axles STAT and if
I'm keeping her it's getting RMS and Oil Pump seal in which case probably mounts and timing again and clutch...I will do that if it's gonna be another staple that I keep this time around. It's not fast...it's got some
questionable shit done to it...but I think it will be fun and a great car to commute in. Zoe likes it so that's a plus.

You think you'll be able to put together a full set of CF trim again before gatrhumper does?

I mean.. OP is a POS, but at least he was thoughtful enough to necro up his old thread instead of creating yet another whore thread.. At this point, we may as well just add a sub-forum for J's Used Car Lot..

Too late. Already done. I just got the front CF trim four days ago. I've had the rear CF trim for a while.

If I remember the pattern correctly, I believe he'll sell the TL for some GM product. After that comes the Audi.

Found a set of mint OEM 17's...finally the car is tolerable at speed although I still need an axle.
The only wheel I never had on any of my TL's. I actually love how they look...such a simple design.
Replaced the door lock actuator on driver door, need a regulator now...
doing an axle and replacing the leaking slave...little by little but I really am loving being back in this platform
and it being basically an unmolested one.

How hard was it to get to the actuator? I gotta replace my outside door handle on driver side soon and don’t look forward to ripping up my door dampening additions haha

I'm trying to remember because I did an actuator on the Mercedes a month ago and it was a LOT harder.
TL one was easy enough...undo the clips and the bolt holding the bottom of the window track to move it out of the way
I used a $12 piece from Amazon...worked like a charm.

@Yumcha snuggle time!

@gatrhumpy After a stout battle with the chinese passenger driveshaft that ended in defeat...
I have decided to plop the money on OEM axles. Fuck it...can't have it driving like shit if I'm gonna hang onto it.
and I plan to.

In other news, Mercedes trans is back in action after replacing the conductor plate in it.
