Big thanks to Richie for his professional packaging and awesome product. I truly appreciate it. I'm not sure why I held off for so long but MAN is this thing nice. Car felt nice and solid true. Cleaned up the engine bay a bit and tidied up and went and aligned my driver side headlight...CEL kicked on for O2 after cleaning up the bay, but I figure that'll go away. Just cleared the code and I'll just wait for all the water to dry.

^^^ there is ZERO difference in driving feel, I feel its all placebo (remember couple members including IHC/Inaccurate) saying that....with thats said I see that you have the tein SS...get the RV6 strut bar....
not sure how and why Jeremy held out soo far....I have drilled a hole in my sturt bar as well after I got the ISC N1's but I just wanted to get something that looked good and would allow me to adjust the dampening and Rich has made a great product for that....

Thanks guys...
Well, after I cleaned the engine I had 3 CEL's from the 02 sensors, they've all cleared today. My passenger headlight has some condensation, my sidemarker popped out while driving..the new amber bulbs I ordered were MUCH less bright than the ones I had and repaired and the one I repaired doesn't signal now...
And, in trying to ensure that my rim doesn't scratch on the right, I managed to accidentally kiss my bumper to my buddy's M3 bumper. Luckily damage was minimal and he had some existing so he was REALLY cool about it.
Sooo...yeah, overall, rough modding day. I feel slightly beaten but at least everything is fixable. Chip had a worse one.
Oh, AND I picked up my flux core welder
I will succeed.

Keep at it, dude. Sorry for the bad luck.

Chip broke a locking stud off in the rim, deep inside. His woes surpass mine!
Hey, thanks boys...my day started with the CEL clearing itself, the humidity in the headlight clearing itself...fixing the parking light, fixing the bumper and loose sidemarker and that's all she wrote. Jeremy the Conquerer once again.

Thanks Quan, yeah...it was gunmetal or bust for me, I guess you could always srpay it yourself and add another RV6 sticker!
LMAO, it didn't "go" although I did purchase most of what I need. Just need some plate steel that matches the gauge of the piping I'll attempt to mess with. I've become overwhelmed in my mind...I need to just suck it up and get it done.
I bought extra cutting wheels etc...used 20% on the auto darkening mask, figured I'd need both free hands so the hand held shield wouldn't cut it. Welder was on sale to begin with and I used my discount tire direct MIR cards to help cut the cost.

You just did!
Ha aha...well, we went to an impromptu bday tailgate party yesterday and I had the other more pressing car related matters to tend to.
I will though, I'm getting and idea of how I'll make it work in my head. I'm stopping by home depot today too.

Great price on those flux welders at HF! They had those outside on the "side walk" sale a few weeks ago!
I have no idea what you're doing but good luck!

Really? Sorry, man...I normally can't see FB pictures at work. just an image of all the welding gear.
Thanks Chad...basically it's a tip I found that looks like the oem tip on steroids, fits the opening perfectly and is wide enough to house both pipes...only problem is it comes with a 1 tip opening.

Thanks fellas...
Will do, Steven!
Honestly, I saw my tips today after cleaning them and I feel like I'm losing the steam to complete this mod. Everyone else has given me shit about the smaller than Type S tips and I feel like I've fallen victim to the peer pressure. I don't hate them, and the more I look at them the more I feel like Richie made sure they were angled just right and fit the opening perfectly...dammit. I'm afraid to hack up my expensive exhaust and let my first welding learning project be my damn car.
That said, I won't be driving the TL until next Tuesday
You'll all see why.
That'll also give me the opportunity to pull my battery and have it tested at Pep boys on Thursday since it's not cranking over the car very well. 2 years old, only. Hmmm...

As someone who is currently car-less, I imagine this mod is something big for you to be excited to not be driving it for a week.

What the fk do I do about these tips...
the more i look at my current setup the less they are bugging me. Maybe I'm just chickening out...

Bird is the Word
Those tips look "small" bc of the polished mufflers. Every time I see pics of your car, my eyes immediately focus on the mufflers, which make the tips look small in comparison. Paint the mufflers black and I'll bet that solves your problem.

The tips are small because they are small. I see the logic in the polished muffler thing but to me I like seeing it when I'm trailing a vehicle.
Cool J can't wait to see results.
