These are growing on me the more I revisit your page. While I didn't really care for the spoke design of the Works, I did like the all black theme, bigger wheels, and how the brakes "popped" more.

I can only imagine what people think when they see your car around town... I'm guessing people think it's a different car with how much you change wheels, tails, spoiler, and fogs.

I personally think you're off your rocker! I actually did love the 19's BUT I never liked how measley the tires looked since I had to run a stretch to get the stance. We'll see, I'm not going to pass too much judgement yet...but if I am still as in love as I am now...the Works will go up for sale.

Looks AWESOME
Big reason why I loved them is, color match. Headlights, fogs, plastic on bumpers, side markers all have gray tone in them. Now rims joined

Don't you have to go lower with that stretched tire?

Center caps look good. If you paint the "A" to silver and surrounding to black, might match better?

Oh just thought about it, you not lowering it because you going to relax the bushings and see where it drops?

If my math is correct, and yes it always is these rims sits 1mm more out than the old ones you had....
and let me guess, you didn't touch the spacers right?

what's up with these mods lately?
oh making it ready for me

This shot is mine

Thanks Meeks...yep, it's all for you, buddy. Can't wait to meet you in person. No spacers are on the car anymore...I know it's not the most aggressive offset, but keeping near perfect camber is more my thing.
Also, I can't go any lower, I'm maxed on the TEIN.

Thanks Kurt...a lot, man. I agree, I made the best of it, but I think a black wheel is better suited to a lighter colored car. I rocked them for 3 years...I guess I'll have to let Chris be batman from now on.

Adam, you ain't lying...only thing is people probably just think it's a different car. I could rob a bank, drive home and swap a couple of things and never have to worry.

Thanks man...I actually like the teal on the gunmetal even more, if you can believe that.

Johnny Boy...guess what...the ONLY reason this even happened is that they got Betty approved. I sent her the pictures and said "what do you think about these" and got back a WOW, these are nice. Yeah buddy!
Let me tell you, lightweight 18's, balanced by acura and a 225 new kumho tire...wow, this thing just GLIDES down the highway so smoothly now.

Stay tuned everyone...local acura tech buddy is interested in the works, but I haven't forgotten all the interested parties if I DO part with them. Glenn, TheChamp to name a few.

Awesome J, just awesome. Now that you are riding on 18's and have adjusted your ride height, I'm curious to know what your measurments are ground to fender.

Believe it or not, when I measured on Saturday, it had stayed 24" but I'll double check today.
Thanks Chip, very much man...
I will work on some different options for center caps but I really like that pop of silver in the middle for now.

Funny you mention the center caps. After looking at the pics again and seeing them on the computer screen, I am kinda feeling the look and contrast of them as well.

welcome Alex...now GTFO and open your own thread

Jeremy...its like you were reading my mind... (didnt wanna text this long story to you yesterday LOL)

just a week or two back, I was thinking of what John (ebelp) mentioned "you aint gonna win a gold cup for being the lightest TL"....and I was thinking to "expand" my wheel selection to include rims under 18lbs (earlier I was strictly sticking to less than 15.5-16lbs)....

Meko text me so I told him I was looking at the Advan Racing RS/RS2/RG2 in the GTR (concave) face...funny enough Brian (Bforbrian) posted a set up for sale in the BM and I was like "should I do it" LOL...

Was driving to chicago and telling the wifey that next summer I might get the Advan racing when you text me and make me drool over my phone...

You are pulling the setup off very very well....Car looks awesome....I do miss seeing the works on your car, but this set is just as good, if not better

PS: I approve the weight

!!!! Thanks Chip, honestly, I may mess with the other caps too...the chrome raised A with plastidip on the regular portion but since the hub nut sticks out slightly I literally put a dab of rtv on the hub rings, then on the caps and pressed in as far as they'd go, then rolled the car to ensure the nuts were gouging the caps...so far, nothing has fallen off so I'm good, but was worried about putting my expensive caps to experiment. These caps that are on there were on my buddy's accord he bought and he wanted the original honda ones...so I kept them.

That's awesome, Anil. So, between you and John...looks like I'm pretty popular with the wives!
I feel you, that's exactly it, we get a one track mind to have to get as low as possible when in reality, you have to keep some levity about it and realize that if it'll save you $2K to have a 41 pound setup instead of a 39.5 pound setup, it's the smart way to go.

That said, I will say that Betty noticed the car accelerating a bit more "effortlessly"...also noted that it's less jerky with the new NRG engine damper I bought off of RUJELLY. Thanks again buddy.

Anil, looking forward to what you got coming, man...
I will miss the works too, but the advans will keep me company in my times of need

41lbs is just the difference of the rims?
Did you subtract the weight of the spacers as well?

No sir, it's 11.5 pounds less per wheel, not taking into account the weight of the various spacers I had on there...plus, remember tires are x5 and rim is x3.

I would guess I took off somewhere between 140 to 160 pounds from the car if you guess 2 pounds less on the tires.

@Meko...I think from what I had read his old setup was 51lbs and the new one is 41lbs....add spacers to the equation, he lost more than 12-13lbs/corner

which is ~55lbs overall !!! well done

They are Kumho Ecsta 4X. I had really good luck with AST's back in the day, but the reviews for these were better and my favorite penguin vouched for them. With the memorial day sales and mail in rebate, I ended up getting them for $335 to my door. Add another $110 for Acura to mount/balance...

Not bad!

Well, it's all relative, even in relation to the aspecs...I was at 48.5 lbs for that setup with a 235.

And measured my FTG is slightly lower, but not much, like 23 7/8" now.

Austin wants TE's in a bad way, don't think he'll get anything but that to replace the Forgestars.

SIMILAR! You have the RZ, no? These are RS. Grouping of the spokes is the only difference, yours are pairs of 5, mine are evenly spaced 10. Love them too, thank you. but why you trying to sell yours?
