If you wear Crocs, you should spontaneously combust.

thread delivery!
Steven, I'll try to snap a pic next time I see him.
Btw, Crocs are NOT comfortable if you has hair on your feet. It pulls them and it hurts! Then you have to wear socks and look even :ghey:er than wearing socks with sandals.

Sup, y'all?!?!
Happy Tuesday.
Okay, well, here are some minor updates.
First off, thank you Aaron (Sharky) for that little baggie of the Blackfire. Awesome stuff, definitely leaves the car looking great, spreads VERY well and easily for application (I used the red pad on PC on 6). Hazes awesome, and wipes off super easily. Actually, results reminded me of the wolfgang. I guess once you get a quality polymer sealant, they're all going to be similar.
In addition, one shot does show my domed decal, also. Thank you for that too, bud. I was against them at first, but I love how the real CF blends into NBP AND also kinda stands out. Subtle...which I love.
In addition, I had promised my favorite Swoosh (no, not Nike) that I'd write up a quick review on the Dunlop Direzza 101 tires I put on the car.
1) Traction: first day I had them mounted, I was driving back from alignment shop and it was pouring...these things were slipping all over the place...BUT, as I figured, there was likely a protective film on them that needed to be "broken in". Over the last 3 months though, the traction is awesome...if I punch it dry, I lose a little traction in 1st and 2nd once vtec kicks in (yo). Otherwise, confidence inspiring...in the rain or dry, the car handles very well. Was raining VERY hard the other day and I was one of the only cars still able to confidently go 70 mph down the highway with NO hydroplaning
2) Longevity: Well, haven't had them on long enough to know yet, but even after a few months, they still look and seem to be new looking. For a harder rubber, they are awesome and I expect them to last for many moons.
3) Looks: They have a pretty sidewall for a slight stretch, the tire itself tucks in under the fender nicely while the sidewall sits up against the rim lip. Looks cool, to me.
4) Handling: The sidewall, especially for a stretched tire, handles well, I don't feel any rolling of the tire onto the sidewall with aggressive handling.
5) Noise: Silent. No road noise at all...butter smooth on the highway (good Acura roadforce balance).
6) Price: they were petty cheap, I think discount tire direct ended up price matching at $137/tire shipped. I love them, their pricing and customer service are second to none.

Pictures to follow.

Nice! While I was browsing the other day I found those to be cheaper than my Hankooks. Those might be my next set!

Okay, so pictures now. I decided that I'd tinker with my USR smoked tails to make them more marketable. I MAY be selling these on the BM sometime soon. They are basically a more smoked out version of my original modded ones. They already had the matte black bezel, I made red lenses for the signal and brake area, removed frosted diffuser and left the smoked bottom reflector. I also chromed out the inside reflector for the signal area, I never liked them liked that they were smoked too and you couldn't see when I'd signal during the day.
Nice effect, not sure, but will likely sell since I think these would look better on a lighter colored TL.

Ok I like every mod you do on your car, stance, details, lights blah blah
but
the thing I always loved is, you do it once and do it right by thinking a lot beforehand.
Paint on the calipers, decals, painting the grille (not using plastidip like me ) and etc...everything is perfect
and I love the angles you take shots at always ma fav. angles
"Some shots showing off the roof spoiler with visor and rdx cover" picture is just perfect
Still dunno how you keep those muffles clean
Aaron should make you a chrome ACURA decal
Why no fogs? Got inspired by the inspires? Are you gonna take that road?
Why I love open-window shots is because of the headrests
and yes I hate it when a friend changes the setting of the passenger seat and doesn't match to my seat anymore
I think I will get a roof spoiler
Now tails...
I think I read the e-mail last night on my cellphone (what you posted on Bruce's thread) about the tails.
I thought what I always hated on clear lenses might go away but it didn't
Thought throwing out the red a little bit more with chrome background might make it stand out more noticable BUT still that clear lens maked the details unnoticable.
We love the tails, details and everything... but I've always been a stock red tails.
Let me rephare it...
Car paint is dark...and black, which stands much more noticable than the tails.
Which hides the details inside from a far distance
Now think about those tails on a silver car or bright color TL...
Boom..that's it perfect.
Black bezel will pull more attention through the clear lens...because is bright color...dosn't hide aything on it...
You got me right? Black on the car stands darker than the black bezel...makes it less noticable from far distance.................but not on a light color TL
My hand needs a time out
Sell these for $600
and keep the reds
Chroming the signal side was the last dot. Done. Perfect
^Because me no like modding the tail and reducing the output....but now it's perfect in my mind

Fuh can't edit anymore...
I meant; lenses
We love the tails, details and everything... but I've always been a stock red LENSES
Not tails. You know that my plan was to paint the bezel to black and reuse the red lens
So the last one you did is perfect....done
I was going to say keep the rockstars they are perfect but now you have the red ones...
So I am making it easier for you to leave them
Whaaaaaaaaaat picture of my junk You bish

Holy mother fk...I asked for more words, and. you. delivered.
LOL...
Yeah, I get you, bud...totally agree on keeping the shape from a distance due to the contrast the reds produce. Okay, I am not sure what I'll ask for them, but I'll probably keep them until Austin has a chance to see em.
About all your other comments, .
Thanks Meko, seriously, I do appreciate the time you take to critique and verbalize. Honestly, I only do it right the first time NOW because of how many times I have NOT done it right in the past. Only way to get good at stuff is to fk up a LOT first. And that, I have.
About fogs...
I partially kinda like the no fog look though, to be honest...it's clean and the way the car was intended. That said, I do love the inspire fogs as well as the accords. Especially the way I have them modded now.
The road to modding continues on...

You have the best wheel fitment that I have ever seen on a 3G TL. No crazy camber or stretched tires, just perfect stance in my opinion. Keep up the good work. Alot of people can learn from what you have done to your whip.
