Jer, those smoked tails on your car made my decision easier to go with smoked tails rather than the ghosted ones I was thinking of.
Dang, but I LOVE the mufflers...there's actually a black CL on this site that that's his avatar, some chromey mufflers and tips and I LOVE how that looks. Especially from a distance where you can see the piping running underneath.

Thank you, Aaron, I appreciate the kind words, man. I knew you'd like the smoked tails...I have to agree, it does match the theme and as Morgan said, it updates the back end of the car a bit.

How do you get the headlights like this with the LED/HID look on the edges?

MMMk, what are they replacing exactly? I have type-s lights, so the only thing I would need are 6k switchbacks? This is new territory for me.

Indeed, sir. Switchbacks will give you a white parking light and it blinks amber when signalling. You do need a resistor though to keep the car from hyperblinking.

The tips look small because of the gigantic chrome trashcans behind them. If you black them out, they wont draw your eyes to them, making the tips stand out more and look larger. Right now, the tips are lost in the back bumper.

glad you clarified, i was about to spray paint the whole effin the tips!

PS...you guys know you're privy to more of a downward angle since my shots were to accentuate the muffler/tips etc...under most normal circumstance, you don't see it like that. I'll take some eye level shots...

You know nothing will ever be good enough for these guys on here. Taking eye level shots, somebody will say you need a roof spoiler or something like that.

How right you are, McCollins...I was actually thinking that when I spoke to a close friend of mine yesterday. Was showing him the exhaust and telling him how I'd like bigger tips etc...he was like WTF are you talking about, these fit perfect, leave them alone. I was thinking, it's true, we apply our own idea of what's aesthetically pleasing to everything...but then we end up with identical cars.

I mean, if you're used to seeing even the type s oem exhaust tips, they're definitely bigger to fit the opening, so then when you compare and see mine, you're like, WTF...they're tiny. But the DO look great proportionally etc...

Same with the spoiler...I get that I can pull it off...the trunk spoiler, but then when I remove it for shits and giggles...I get that it looks so clean and I should leave it off and I should get a roof spoiler. Then I look around and I'm like, man...if I listen to everyone, I'll have an identical car to XXXXXXX member.

And once they idea gets put in your head, especially from people you respect, it gnaws at you until you try and it and do it and the car stops being your vision anymore.

Meh, I got a little too deep there, but you get the gist.

Wow, this thread flew a page since I asked about your camber specs.

Since I know nothing about alignment specs,

do you think that these camber specs would be doable without a camber kit? I'm ONLY looking to get the camber kit if i ABSOLUTELY have to. Thats 300 bucks I don't want to spend!

The wheels are 19x8.5, +38 front +24 rear so VERY close to your specs, although slightly less aggressive. I have spacers installed but will remove them (15 front 20 rear) because I dont think Ill need them with these wheels

With spacers:
225 35 19 all around
19 x 9" wheels
F +35 w/-1 deg camber
R +25 w/-2 deg camber (upper ball joints/arms)

Thanks

Wait, what?!?! Did you quote what I said?

Yes, we should be very close to each other...35/25 rear 1/2 on the rim but same tire.
I think if you get the toe straightened out, you can be ok, but it depends on how low you are too.

Another benefit to the upper arm camber kits is that since it brings the top of the rim back out, it makes it more flush (until you can't anymore).

I'm not sure I understand your question but if you're asking if you'll have MY same camber specs without a kit at my height, then I think the answer is no. I think you'll be closer to -2 front and -3.5 rear with no kits.

That's just a guess though...if you're strapped for cash, do your thing and see where you stand! Then do what you can when you can. Don't forget that with the camber kit, you're also going to run into fender clearance issues.

Well, I liked how the roll up one fit pretty well, but over time, the edges kinda curl in and it's a PAIN in the butt to have to unroll and roll it up all the time. I like how easy this pops up and down. And it fits PERFECTLY.
