The ROCKstar143 ...has bought back...a TL...
I mean, you're not dark enough and probably too hairy. But, we get it.

okay well, first order of business was to get Austin's shoes off to prevent damage or theft so I can get them back to him.
Scooped up a set of Achilles ATR Sport 2 to throw on the old aspec...I missed that look.
When the car was up in the air for an oil change the other day I found the culprit for the very loose steering...skunk2 balljoints were
cooked...those were on since Ohio so who knows how many miles they saw. I actually need to address the inner bushings as well, but
I need to see if they sell replacements for those.
While I was in there, I re-measured the fronts and they were set about a 1/2" too high...
no leaking oil...not bad considering these are the Tein SS from my Black TL and have a combined 140K+ miles on them
dirty...
Austin did some cool upgrades...stainless lines
slotted powerslut rotors, methinks
Here she is sitting correctly
last night J went to bed early so I went back down to figure out the drl issue...
Simplify my life...I think I'm getting old...but the ijdm harness GONE bitch...oem DRL back in and working
touched up and waxed the aspecs...needed it to bring the gloss back
Then I got inspired to give the paint some love...took about 2 hours...
wash, clay bar, klasse aio on orange pad then chem guys better butter wax on red pad

Fuck, J Or is it fuck J.
anyway, as always looks hot! So I’m guessing the Jeep is outside Audi and minivan is in the garage TL and S2k outside....
if you buy another house, you need RV parking man.
for a 10+ year old car is still looks better than a majority of the cars out now...

Null and proud of it
Yeah. He usually leaves the "exotics" outside.... The S2k almost got smacked by a B-Ball goal awhile back so it's likely to be left outside, and uncovered... He usually raw dogs it I think...

I didn't even realize there's a right way to pride
@Flipster23 lol...they are all outside. I don't have a garage space to house them anymore.
I just keep up with making sure they are waxed so the paint doesn't fade.

Taking it a day at a time. The type-s blue reminds me of the blue vehicle my wife now drives. I've never owned a blue vehicle before and In the spring time I'd like to spend the day to really go over it and clean it up well. I will say, the right shade of blue makes all the difference. I'm glad you're conditioning and restoring the vehicle back to it's glory days. I have a few new oem parts sitting in my basement since the summer to install on the TL. Things like a new interior door handle, under hood liner and other misc things that are in need of replacing just due to wear and tear from all the years. I wish you all the best with the type-s and safe travels! Looking forward to many more updates.

you guys are hilarious...
Austin did fine...you guys know I'm a little anal and I have a lot of fuckups and years of knowhow to tackle a lot of stuff that could be
daunting relatively quickly.
i had made an appointment with a tint guy local to me but after being told that if the glue stays behind on the rear window, oh well you just
lose the defroster by scraping...I went to town on youtube for different ways to tackle it...basically, a heat gun made short work of it. Rear window
was the most brittle and purple/bubbled but all of them were looking scratched and purplish...cancelled that appointment for now while I contemplate
the fishbowl look for a bit...also took off the rear window spoiler that was a little small and angled too far up compared to the trunk spoiler. Passenger
window was tinted a bit further down and I ended damaging a small section of the door panel with the heat gun trying to get the tint hot enough to lift
from under it. In hindsight I should have pulled the panel off but oh well, live and learn. I'll touch it up or have it fixed. No biggy.
J.

Will acetone take the heater lines off or are they pretty well adhered to the glass?
Acetone is like my #1 go to for removing things. Including brain cells.

well i didn't mean heat gun like a floriduhman.. i would use a steamer but will look into garbage bags and ammonia..
i also have some bleach in the car as well in case the ammonia doesn't work good
and if neither works, i'll mix them and see what happens....

Watch all the youtube videos about it...the spray ammonia or 409 onto the tint and trash bag and leaving it in the sun with heater on and rear defroster is just to administer heat evenly on the window.
From watching all the videos I have decided that applying heat to it is really what all the different methods are getting at...whether steam, or heat gun or sun and trash bag...all side windows came off clean...
rear did not...it came off in a sheet but the residue stayed but I literally just liberally sprayed down with degreaser, agitated with the sponge and wiped it all down with clean microfibers...the first pass got it
almost all the way off...I put down a towel so I wouldn't soak degreaser into the rear deck material.
this was the one that got me thinking about what to do if the glue stayed...
Finally I watched these...and decided to try my hand at it at midnight...by 2am I had finished the car and was back in bed.
