I like the amber man, always have, it looks great on dark blues and blacks! I was contemplating it as well a while ago but decided to keep my lights all white, especially if I'm doing white calipers!

Shots are sweet man, weird how a main highway is so dead??

Does your shit need moar low? hehe

I don't know why, but that rear type s emblem is driving me bananas. It just looks like it's in the wrong place.

Otherwise the car is looking well loved. Nice to see her in such good shape!

Yeah I had just the type S on for a little bit but didn't like it after a while. Kind of seemed lonely.

I agree with Taco. I understand the logic but if they can't tell it's a type-s from 1) KBP 2) the front bumper 3) the headlights then they don't deserve to know.

Funny, I was gonna leave the TL and Type S emblems on, for a change...
TL came off in my hands when I saw one letter was lookin loose...so I took it as a sign.
I really only left the type S cause I like the accent in red that matches the tails.

For you OCD symmetry people I'll order another one and put it on the left at the same spot!

Hey, if that's all teh criticism i get for the car, i'm doing aiiighhhhttt

Okay, going to pick my bumper tomorrow morning. Put the red stripes back on the car...they're my favorite.
This weekend I'll likely install my uncald4 box...more tuning...
that's about it.

Kinda...but not really anything special.
Changed out the PCV valve at the suggestion of Majofo and the 105K thread!
Got the bumper back from my buddy that painted it after the mishap with the tow truck driver...also collectively decided to leave well enough alone with the slight fender flare as you really have to look for it to stand out. Funny how big a deal it is that day, but it dissipates as time goes on.
Also uploaded map17 and datalogged...and installed the uncald4 enclosure HELLLO TRUNKS SPACE!
Thanks Dave for the great deal...looks super stealthy and custom as hell!

had to get creative to mount the sub box...used a long screw of same thread pitch, with a bunch of washers and a retired edger blade on it to spread the support load.

Dudebro... Tell me what size screw you need and I'll send you one. I'll even throw a piece of scrap aluminum in the envelope so you don't need to use lawn equipment and that fine stack of soon to be bass-driven jingle rattles to mount it up right.

it may be too late now, but here are step by step instructions for doing a proper sub box mounting in that area. i followed this perfectly when i installed my sub box (not uncald4 but another company that is actually a lot cheaper), so maybe you can still use some of it to finish your install.

http://www.audiointegrations.net/multimedia.html

which trunk light are you running? my leds light up really well but yours has a better distribution over the entire trunk.

the only thing is the sub is heavvvy as fuck!
but Dave assured me that's how he mounted it...I was able to NOT cut my all weather trunk tray so I'm happy about that...it would probably be good to drill a hole and run a bolt through the left side of the box too.

Crazy how well the bass hits with this box too...I thought it was good before but MAN...I used to constantly have to bump the bass up and down for each song...it was always either too much or too little...but with this box, set at -5...the songs sound so balanced! Perfect mix with the "Jesse Kelley" upgraded oem amp I have now.
I love getting some good sound out of a mostly oem system.

You crack me up Joe.

Thanks Dave! I'll look into it...
with teh bropricing the other Dave gave me...I bet this one is cheaper!
I couldn't pass it up and I'm kinda glad I did...super super custom looking. I'll watch the install video tomorrow.

LEDs are panel cheap china made leds...but they do a good job!

^^ yea the corner trunk setup is the only way i convinced my wife to allow me to upgrade my audio hahah. no way she would have allowed trunk space to be used up. i bet your JL sub sounds super nice!

so you aren't running any aftermarket speakers in this new car like you did your last? just oem with the upgraded amp? i wish i had known about jesse's amp service before i went down the rabbit hole with my audio setup, it would have saved me so much install and troubleshooting time that i put in to get my system to sound right.

Tell me about it, man...
Jesse's solution was literally all I kept thinking would be the perfect solution before I even knew it existed. Stock sound system and speakers were fantastic, just another 20% more volume so you could really HEAR it and I'd be happy. Well...on the NBP, down the rabbit hole I went along with about a few months of my time chasing engine buzz noises coming through the oem amp. What a mission...

I left everything in my old car...the 2 MB quart amps...infinity rear speakers and massive audio fronts...and 2 12" audiobahns. I wanted to keep it simple so I just kept previous owner, JJH's, 1 10" JL...and upgraded to the best Jesse amp and tweeter combo he had to offer. About $450 in and Honestly it's almost hard to tell it's not aftermarket and I have not had to cut or splice one oem connection. I'm super happy with it.

Watched the install video...I guess that's what David B was trying to describe to me for install. Instead I ended up just finding a screw that fit the oem threading and went in from the outside. I guess if that doesn't hold up, I'll end doing it this way. The uncald4 box doesn't stick out far enough to get to the bottom bolt either. I was considering throwing a bolt through the carpeting on the left side too to keep it tight against the corner but I may leave well enough alone. I have a feeling the screw will fail before the fiberglass does. Plus, my edger blade washer is pretty boss. I used this butyl from work to plug up those 2 other holes.

I kid you not though, the system sounds SO good with the sub where it's at. Really feels like an overall bass and not a box trying to jam bass down your throat from the back. If that makes any sense

glad you love the new setup!! it would have been such a pain to take all the audio out and re-install it and have some more issues haha. the trunk corner sub sounds great IMO, it's nice to hear that's working out for you as well. jesse's amp upgrades seem like they would be the perfect upgrade for most people

i'm going to go down the rabbit hole even further i think, i'm currently researching double din options...main reason being my navi is all effed up (for 2 years) and no one can figure out why, so i've been running a dash mounted garmin but i want something more integrated.

If I were going down the rabbit hole again, I'd ABSOLUTELY retrofit a double din in there...modernizes the look and is SO much easier to easily get clean sound to your amps.
Thanks Dave...yeah, the sub hits perfectly from there...so crazy.

The thing is, I was spacing from the back side and threading in the front end of the bolt blindly was annoying...already had to do it a few times, add a few washers, take some off...
edger blade holds it firmly and without any pressure points!
I should have stuck some rubber or something as a buffer now that I think about it...might still do that.

my wife was very hesitant on me getting a sub. but like i told her, i use the sub to give my music depth and all around better dynamic sound. it doesn't bother her at all now that i have it installed and after a few glasses of wine and a well timed TLC song she's like turn it up! haha
