Very nice to see such an enthusiast group of people and they actually sent email to Acura relations because the specific production numbers are apparently a trade secret and therefore not published publically anywhere.
Here's an email from Acura in that thread:

Dear Mr. Ulett,
Thank you for again for contacting Acura Client Relations in regards to obtaining the production numbers for the 2007 and 2008 Acura TL Type-S.
While we would like to accommodate your request, Acura considers that level of detail as proprietary, and therefore we are unable release that information to you.
Sincerely,
Acura Client Relations

They are out there, though. It's just hard to find an owner willing to part with one.
I dunno about you, but I think the red, white and even carbon colors were fantastic for the type S. I'd get any color besides silver or black.
Edit: I just noticed the thread posted above. Just looked through page one and didn't see anything conclusive. Don't want to search the following five pages...
I read though all 5 pages (quickly of course) and someone actually got an answer by emailing Acura relations and apparently the TL-S production numbers are a "proprietary" information considered by Acura and so guess it's a trade secret.
I do admire their enthusiasm though...they were trying to gather VINs and then calculating VIN code and then also using the touted number of 1/40 04-06 TLs being sold only as MTs....and then guesstimating how many MT TL-S are out there.....
Looks like the public will never find out.
Others have said also that internally the numbers are all there...but likely being kept as a company secret as the email response above shows.
Higher mileage, more owners, rear bumper repainted from collision from first owner, lived in salt/snow areas...
I took a chance, the numbers made sense and it was Kinetic 6MT. I mean, I've had my ears open for those to pop up over the years and they ALMOST never do and when they do they don't last long enough to check them out. Shoot, even this one, Justin didn't have a chance to even post it...he asked me before anyone and I bought it after our first FB message exchange. There were a few others that tried to snipe it during our transaction but he's old school, like me...meaning, you make a deal, you honor the deal. Same reason I'm going to go through with selling mine to my ex boss knowing he's probably going to annoy me, I could have gotten more from a stranger, and that he won't care for it like I did.
Well, the fact that there are only 22 Type S 6MT for sale nationwide and NONE were KBP from what I gathered...I'd say rarity is pretty up there.
As involved in AZ and meets as I've been, I've only seen 3 in person anywhere and NONE were 6MT. Mike Chan had one at the local dealership, Glenn SickTLS and I recently saw one in a gas station near my house.
I'm stunned ...I still have to go back and read through your reasoning on page 1, but I'm out early today But anyways, I LOVE the KBP-S - so congrats J!
doubt it, man...only true authentic enthusiasts will understand the allure.
I was gonna try and stop and see you, Chad...was on a tight timeline but figured maybe a coffee or something. I couldn't push my luck, B home with a 3 month old on V day weekend...I'm lucky she's a cool chick.
Shoot, I got home and she was like, take it easy babe, you had a long 3 days of driving and then pretended to care as I showed her the car. She's a fkng keeper.
Brother, you and I both...
not ONE person has not been totally shocked that I actually did this. Some are like, dafuq, your black one was perfect...
but I know my car...I'd never move on from that. You get given the opportunity to own the better version of your car that is NEVER for sale and in the right transmission, you shoot first and ask questions later.

It's cool. I would have needed a bit more lead time anyway.
I can't believe you came up to Ohio to get a higher milage wintered 3G though... Literally only came here to see a V.
Well, it just dawned on me that you live in Ohio on the flight as I was landing...I was like, damn...I wonder if we'd really laugh over beers or have a cage fight in person.
And yeah, not a shock at all since you've basically been looking to move on from the 3G for a LONG time. I know that to some, they'd be like...WTF, why bother?!?!?

Good shit man, I like the mindset... Nice to see ya on the Type-S side now , I like the route you're planning on going with this car as for a more "mature" look. Can't wait to see more pics of it. All the best buddy!
wow dude congrats. last thing i expected to see from you to be honest. I remember talking about getting my car undercoated and I recall you saying after your last s2k you'd never buy a northern unit again
Honestly as long as it was coated with a good preventative there should be zero issues other than some surface rust.
You got balls though man, if I tried to pull a move like that my GF would prob lose hope on me hahahahah
The 3.7 IM and TB are a really nice addition. I couldn't believe the diff when I slapped those on my base TL
Mtiaz, thanks bro...I'm a little insane, as you know...I do plan to de-mod slightly then just keep it simple and get her riding smoothly. The color is super gorgeous in person.
Jeff...
I know it, man...I kept telling Justin that...I was like, I said I'd NEVER buy from up North again but after cleaning up underneath, I was happy to find most rusty bolts/screws are only in the engine bay and surface rust.
loaded up!
I guess I'll tell the story out of order...when I got home, first thing I did was...jack her up (off) and get under there with degreaser and a brush/bucket and clean her off...only obvious place it was REALLY rusted was the jpipe. I'll probably take the one off my car old car though.
...But definitely didn't sell one and buy another. Who would buy one car, sell it, and then buy a *very* similar but different one so shortly after? That would be silly!
crazy man i never would have expected this!! congrats!! that is the only color and combo i would trade my setup in for...i love my wdp but kbp grew on me and it's now my favorite color.
you need to get flashpro going with those engine mods ASAP...it makes SUCH a difference for daily driving (or any driving)
maybe i missed it already, but what are you switching over from your car?
Jeremy, what a pleasure it was meeting you dude! I had a great time hanging out with you (and Andy too) and reminiscing about all of the joys that the TL has brought us. I know it has gone to a great home and I absolutely cannot wait to see what you do with it. I sincerely hope that you enjoy every second with your new car.
Special thanks to gerzand for opening his house up to Jeremy so that he could break up the drive a little bit. :thumbsup
Last thing, thanks for taking that piece of crap off my hands. Just kidding, I will miss her Remember the stipulation to this transaction, you must call me at least once per week to give me a comprehensive update on any changes you have made to the car and pictures must be posted abundantly.
Hopefully we cross paths again!
I heard some of the ideas that Jeremy has cooking, and everyone is in for a treat.

Very true. Definitely hard for laymen to see KBPs pop up within enthusiast circles because seller def want the buyer to have some cred and be taking care of the car. But that's good to know that most of them may be well cared for!

Dang yeah that's pretty rare! Looks like combo of the KBP and 6MT is truly a very rare breed indeed.
Now more curious about the number....maybe not even 1000 in the nation!!!
Das super cool Jeremy. People change their minds. Shit happens.
Whenever I hear something like this I think back to the first mods I did to my Integra and it just goes to show we all grow up and with that our minds change. Digging the blue man!!
Wow nice pickup man! I've always admired your NBP TL and loved what you've done with it. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the new one. Welcome to the TL-S 6mt club
