Q, the Aspec wheels look the best on your car (by far) out of all the setups you've had. It's absolutely perfect.

Thanks everyone. I really liked the gunmetal A-Specs a lot; even more so now with these spacers.

With the current ride height and spacers, I am basically rubbing in all four corners. Tight rights and lefts cause rubbing in the front and dips and bumps cause rubbing in the rear. I have to get the front tabs cut or rolled as they are cutting into my tires already.

Put about 500 miles on the car in the last week or so driving up and down I95 and have been noticing some vibrations on hard acceleration and at 65-70mph. I'm thinking of getting my suspension overhauled with new OEM compliance bushings and whatever else along with new OEM axles this time. Probably is about that time for an alignment too.

Here are some quick pics I snapped this morning. Its been cold and I've been real busy with school so I haven't had a chance to wash it in the last week either

In other news, the Bimmer overheated on me the other day
Sigh. Both my cars need work

The Type S looks nice "Q"... Just step the spacers back a little. Run 15mm in the back and 10mm up front. That's what I did when I had my Aspec 8.5's. There is little visual difference and no rubbing. Just my

Nothing too exciting lately. I've been focusing on school the last few weeks and haven't gotten a chance to do anything car-related for a while.

I did however receive my new rears. Big thanks to Diego at Vossen for the help

I've never actually unboxed a brand new wheel before so this will be kind of cool. I'm not sure when I'll get them mounted though.

Couple random pictures from this weekend:

This is mine and my buddy's 04 SSM 6MT TL. You guys have seen a lot of this one already; I just thought it was interesting. Be both have almost the same mods.

Tein SA coils
18x8.5 aspecs
20mm/15mm rear/front spacers
oem visors
comptech short shifters
GMSFM fluid in both
OEM brembo's and Aspec kits on both too.

Pretty cool I guess:

Honestly they are one of my favorite mods. I've purchased them for both of my TL's and my buddy picked them up for his silver tl as well. I really love how they look; very sleek and a whole lot better looking than the visors made for most other cars. And I paid around 145$ including shipping for mine brand new from ACKTL05.

They really work well for me; I always have the windows cracked when driving

Made a lame attempt at some foliage pics today at school. Nothing special.

I was really happy with the shine of the car this morning when I came out of the store; nothing special; just had it washed last week. Hasn't been waxed in months either. Weather was terrible last week

Well I had a pretty productive weekend.

First I had the advanced auto axles removed and went with new OEM ones from the dealer. Also I had tpms sensors put in my 18x8.5's and had them rebalanced and everything. The car drives like an absolute dream now. I initially hadn't realized just how bad it drove with the advance auto axles. Now the car pulls smooth when stomped on the way it should. Downshifting again brings a smile to my face! Haha

Also finally replaced my burnt out bulbs around the dash area and seat heater buttons as I've done twice before on mine and a buddy's TL's. See the thread below. I replaced all the nav button switches as well as sunroof and max and +\- switches near the cluster with regular red t3 neo-wedge LED bulbs. They were too tall for the seat heater switches so I went with SMD neo wedge t3 bulbs for those two as they are slightly shorter in height. Not quite as bright but more reliable hopefully and better than stock.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/new-dash-bulbs-t3-neo-wedge-leds-buttons-switches-852532/

Took a lot of work but I'm happy with it again and all the buttons light up properly now. At the same time I decided to go with 3 subtle 3mm red leds in each cupholder. They are below the rubber flaps so are invisible.

Pics:

Before here you can see the burnt bulbs on the left hand side. All of those are burnt out.

In the process. Whole center console taken apart and navi/radio removed.

T3 LED bulbs vs traditional oem bulbs in bayonet housings.

These are annoying as all hell to replace and there is a little trial and error but got all the bulbs lit up (if not lit, remove and turn 180 degrees and reinstall)

Cupholder LEDs. This pic is with the cup holder taken apart and rubber flaps removed. I put them back in when I was reinstalling to keep the bulbs covered.

Here is the final product. Night pics. In the first pic the bulbs look white but they truly are a nice bright red.

Snapped these last night!

In my last car I had done 3 5mm LEDs in each cup holder and it was a little too bright (especially since it was BLUE to match my base interior). This time I went with 3 3mm LEDS in each cupholder and IMO its the perfect amount of brightness. You'll barely notice it in there, and it matches my door handle LEDs REALLY well since they aren't very bright either. Very happy with the results. The Nav leds cost me around 30$ and I have plenty left over for other switches (drivers knee panel: VSA, Trunk, etc) while the 3mm pre-wired LEDs were ridiculously cheap from LighthouseLEDs.com (they come with resistors and 6" of wire).

Another night shot of the Nav

It was about 23 degrees this morning.

There will be no centering of any license plate in my near future !

Currently at the Acura dealer and saw this beauty. It has some kind of hideaway plate on the front as well. Barely visible in the pic as i didn't want to get all up in their grill; (haha!) it was a customer car in for service.

Not sure which carbon fiber mods you meant but if you install it with a little bit of heat and it's a quality product (3M) you should be fine. The only times I've had trouble with 3M adhesives like double sides tape or the vinyl is when I tried to put my front lip on in the cold; it wouldn't stick at all. A little heat or baking in the sunlight helps.
