Like the ESPN announcer's say "Come On Man" with these Cell Phone Pics. I've seen this car in person and these low quality Pics do nothing. Let's meet at Montgomery Mall and I will bring my camera and take some half way decent pics of your car to post when you Plasti Dip the Volks in orange.

Honestly, I LOVE TE37 and I really prefer the feel of 18's on my car. BUT> I've NEVER liked the look of black rims on my car. Its just the color. I'm sure they'd look better on a NBP, WDP, or even SSM; but wheel colors are really tough with DGP; You pretty much have to go with only light colors, lighter colors (hyper silver, chrome, etc etc) look best on it. I really love JMillerUA6's previous setup before his car passed

I will plastidip these this week as I FINALLY got tracking info from Dipyourcar.com. Then after October, I'll probably try a billion different colors

Yeah, I think its just the color combination of black+polished+my green car that throws it off.

The wheel offset is +50 but I have 15mm spacers in the front and 20's in the back. I could go higher but I'm not really interested as these are the best set up for my A-specs and I don't want to have to swap spacers every time I swap wheels!

I bet you all love black+polished lip on Italiano's NBP beast. ALthough he has much nicer and more aggressive specs than I do. Plus lowered more. This is taken from his thread:

19x9.5 et 31front....19x9.5 et22 rear...225/35/19

LOL...it's all good, Quan and no, I don't like them on Chris' car any more.
I miss your works!

Either way, if you're happy, that's all that matters...I'll form a new opinion once you get the color you want though!

I think after Orange, I will try gunmetal, lime green, maybe copper, hm. I dunno what else

Its a love it or hate it kind of thing haha. I don't like the way my car looks but hopefully that will change after tomorrow.

J; I love how the Works looked too, but they needed too much work and I didn't like how they felt. If they were 18's I may have kept them

I'm posting a totally pointless post just because I feel like posting a totally pointless post.

Also, the orange looks hot!

LOL. Thanks guys.

They didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. I used a total of 4 cans and didn't have enough to do the side mirrors OR the barrel of the wheels. I only got the face of the wheels done which is a bit of a disappointment. Even with 6-8 coats on each wheel you can still see the Volk decals through the dip.

I probably won't clear them just now; I kind of like the matte orange look but we'll see. I'm done spending $ on making them orange though; I think I'll ride with them for a bit until I switch up the color.

I also plastidipped my lug nuts in black. I didn't get a chance to put them on the car since I finished up late last night. I left my car a-specs and that's what I'm riding on for the time being.

Here are a couple pics of the process:

First Coat:

After about 2-3 coats

After about 4-5 coats

Basically done

Close up

Yeah I thought so too. On YouTube "Fonzie" of dipyourcar.com was saying to go for about 50% coverage on the first couple coats.

After 3 coats of that I said screw it an started laying it on thick.

Very nice progress. Orange looks hot. As for tinting. I was driving around Gainesville area and a county cop pulled me over for my tint and he actually whipped out the tint reader and it read 20%. I told him I bought the car as is and i pointed the DOT sticker. Then he thought my front windshield was tinted. Anyways to make this story short. He didn't give me a ticket. He asked me If I've been pulled over for tint. I said no..then he said well we usually give tickets on dark tints, but with your driving record...just becareful. I was like...thank you officer and have a good day. Having WDP and dark interior attracts everyone's eyes to your car.

WELL. I got home from today and took another good look at them after they had about 20 hours to dry and realized I wasn't happy with how they turned out.

The color was nice, but a little to florescent. Its hard to tell in the pics but it was almost like a construction reflector if that makes sense. And I could still easily see a black behind the dip so I decided to give it another shot. In the pics they actually looked pretty damn good, but in person, I didn't want them on my car like that.

No way in hell am I ordering from dipyourcar.com as it would probably take another 2 weeks to show up. So I hit up walmart and picked up some regular spray paint "Pumpkin Orange" sounded good. Got 3 cans and started working.

First I wanted to tape the rims up and prevent any real spray paint from getting into the barrels of the wheels as those aren't properly coated with enough plastidip to be able to peel it off later. This taping was a bitch; especially with 1" tape lol.

Then I got to it. took about 4 coats and only 2/3 cans of spray paint. Here's a couple more pics for you guys. I'm really happy with the color now; its loud, but not florescent and VERY orange.

Mounting tomorrow!!!

How do you think the Volk stickers will hold up when you peel off the plasti dip?
