Yea I'm overdue according to Service manual. & Since ill be making the trip to Honda day this summer, I want everything to be perfect.
I want to get everything done within the next month or so. Including Clutch,New axles,Timing Belt, & valve adjustment. I still need to decide on my next set of coilovers. Will be painting my Brembo Calipers Inca Gold next week. Picking up a set of wheels in June/July. & going to attemp to either wrap my headliner in Black Suede, or get the OE Black Type S liner and wrap just the pillars in suede.

Mwahahaha.
Well the Interior has always kind of been in the back of my mind. I'm definitely excited to see how it will come out. I'm curious to which of those you want to do..

My headliner started sagging.
Inca gold sounds cool (but I do love the teal i have)
Timing belt service,
valve adjustment

Clutch seems to be holding up just fine for now...

Ahh I see, well I definitely need some upgrading in the interior for me to feel better, but that's one of the last things. After my Coilovers I'd much Rather cough up the money for an exhaust.

& my clutch was fine too, up until a month or so ago when I was engaging in some "Spirited" driving. Slipped a little between before catching. Lasted through 100k though. I was surprised reading thru the forum with members swapping them out at 30k and 50k.

Yeah, me too, I tend to not thrash mine nearly as hard or often since I read that. I hope no permanent damage. I drive chill, normally even if spirited, I take a little pause between gears...like "okay baby...I'm going easy on you okay"!?!?!

About the coils and exhaust, coils first for me, i need low. BUT, next best return on investment for happy driving is the exhaust for sure.

headliner isn't bad, just pinned up the back corner, i also realized that it's due to running the sunroof tilted and having the shade closed (for sun)...apparently that routes air under the liner. Also, I had some interior mods done recently by Wacker...so I'm happy.
Namely, painted the ac vents and trim pieces NBP.

Looook what I got!

im going to delay the clutch just a weeee bit more. I still need to pick up the axles,I will be going OEM I believe. Also, Since I am going to have the sub-frame off. I will be re-doing my compliance bushings (even though i just did them a year ago) & am actually comtemplating on the Heeltoe Compliance bushings, just doing a little research before I pull the trigger.

Hmm..what else to do while im in there..?

Hey guys, still haven't done the clutch yet. I'm still rounding up some parts. Just ordered the NRG engine torque damper from heeltoe, also the stainless steel braided clutch hose. Front and Rear OE motor mounts will be here tuesday,as well as new axles, axle seals and a new slave cylinder (I'll have a couple of days to remove the CDV) .I'm planning on getting started on the clutch Friday night thru Saturday.

Also, I had some extra time at the shop yesterday, and decided to open up and see what exactly is in the box of a "Honda" clutch and flywheel kit for the TL and what i found made me very happy to have gone with parts from Partsgeek + Carolina Clutch.

(picture of the 'top' of the pressure plate)

(can clearly see the LuK engraved in the plates 'arms')

(LuK all over this kit, this is the actual clutch friction disc)

( Picture of the flywheel, Honda tags theirs with "22100-RCA- and the HONDA name. However looks exactly the same)

Also, not pictured, I checked the Clutch release bearing, OE is made my Nachi in Japan, and is the SAME THING in the box along with the kit from Parts Geek.

Just an extra piece of mind for anyone debating on going with parts from LuK.

I will. That's why I've been taking my time going thru the Acura Parts catalog, making sure I have everything i need. I was about to order the Shift lever assembly this morning, so that I could install the Short Shift kit on the new one, and just swap out the assembly completely, but it is on Backorder with no release date. I know it's not necessary, but I like replacing everything that's coming off with something new. Just like all the hardware for the clutch and flywheel. I even ordered new bolts for the subframe,as well as the brackets for the Clutch hose and clips. I might be a little crazy.

Clutch delay valve removed

Just took this slave cylinder apart for the clutch replacement this weekend. Can't wait to see how it drives. New slave cylinder with delay valve delete, hybrid linkage bushings,Comptech Short shift kit,and new motor mounts! I'm gonna be in heaven.

I almost sprung for a RV6 V3 J pipe, but i'd rather save that dough and put it towards some coilovers. Still debating on K-Sport vs BC racing.... hmm.

Clutch was done today. Unfortunately I was called into work so I couldn't stand by to take pics swoosh! Sorry man. I'll see if I can get it on a lift this week because there wasn't enough time to do the ETD or Clutch Slave. I know There is only a couple of bolts you are supposed to loosen, and this should give you enough clearance to squeeze a wrench/ratchet in there to swap out the bushings/sway bar

Definitely.

In other news, I wanted to mention something i found last night. After getting all these components replaced INCLUDING axles. I figured my vibration under load issue would have disappeared..wrong! Although it did get better, since 1 of the 2 axles had significant play in it. The problem wasn't resolved completely, and i still had a distinctive CLUNK over bumps. Mind you,my car has new compliance bushings, sway bar bushings, & sway bar links So,last night as i was taking the tires off to find the culprit. I found something, pretty epic.

Both upper ball joints were seperated from the Upper control arm. Not broken, but the Hole that the ball joint sits in within the Upper control arm itself, seemed to have gave out. So,in essence the ball joint is 'floating' within the arm.Pic #1 shows what i mean. #2 is my Linkage bushings installed

New UCA's, still debating on my damn coilovers..

I can't stray away from the All black look, I think this grille will be getting color matched again..any suggestions?

Plasti-dipped license plate garnish molding. If i get the grille color matched this week, I believe i will be doing the molding as well.

Finished product of my RDX caliper covers, Comments and criticism welcome. I think i will be doing my brembos this color
