Thanks guys, and hopefully I can find a winter beater by then so I don't have to raise it. and I actually traded my wheels to my friend who recently y picked up a tl. I saw him driving by and asked. Lol. Center caps will be changed soon, not a priority. I'm off to an interior detail and to install my new floormats I was so lucky to been hooked up with. Next is rear lip

well,in order to keep you guys updated i have to tell you the bad news too.

Saturday morning, I woke up and drove to the shop in hopes of replacing my brakes (rotors and pads). Bought a nice set of Hawk pads along with Centric Cryo Rotors. Pads slid out easy. Once i removed the top caliper bolt on the brembo, i figured the bottom one would be just as easy... Man,was I wrong, I pulled it out as slowly as i could and to my sad,sad realization. Stripped bolt. Stripped Caliper. At this point, reality sunk in: new calipers. Fack! I left the car here until Monday, ordered 2 new brembo calipers with new hardware. And reassembled it all tuesday.

So, now comes the question: I've read the threads about other people having issues. Has anyone been successful putting in heli coils or time-serts? and actually had reliability with either?
My plan is to save them,or sell them once repaired for anything i can get. Any suggestions?!

Steven: I was originally and still trying to sell the car. So i started converting everything back to stock when i couldn't to make up the difference and sell for cheaper. But now, it just seems like im keeping it lol.

Swoosh: Yes,I know. But i'm only thinking about the extra cash for now. So much money to spend..
We'll see what happens next year. At least I don't have to worry about my coilovers this winter.

^LOL

Meh. But whatever, the way i see it. It will open up a door for a whole different style maybe? Simply and Classy vs. Clean and Badass?
Anyways,I don't mind how it sits for the winter. If I come across a good deal, I'll pick up a set of Sparkle Silver A-Specs (18"). although my goal is for a set of xxr 530s. I have the Rear Type-S bumper spoiler to put on (debating whether i should wait until after the winter or not,we'll see how far my impatience gets me). and maybe for spring time,i'll pick up another set of coils.

I've been thinking really hard about saving up this next year for a set of airbags, but not sure how practical it would be with new england weather

update: 3/12/13

Well, I'm going to keep the TL.

Picked up a set of stock wheels 04-05.
and are currently getting prepped for painting.
Clutch will be getting replaced in the next 2 weeks (im excited to feel the difference)
Now, I'm debating whether I should get wheels (XXR 530) next, or just get another set of coilovers.I'm on Tein Springs now,but I feel like it's against my nature to get wheels before suspension. Then again, I'm going to be driving around my newborn daughter until the summer in this car. Not daily, but definitely a few times a month for now.

Any ideas my fellow AZiners??

Coils, sell springs, refinish stock wheels. A winning combo.

Your daughter won't want to be see in a TL offroading anyway.

Good point J.
Guys,I'll be painting the wheels the stock silver. I'm an OEM+ kind of dude. The wheels were super cheap, and were a little curbed ,but we just finished repair and prep. Will be painted tommorrow. I'll be mounting a new pair of toyos out back, and my falkens up front.
Also, debating on keeping my honeycombs or selling them ...hmm.

lawd jesus just got through your thread. many attempts to sell the TL! you can hand it over to me next time you think about selling it! but for real if your really dissatisfied with it you should just sell it and get something that you can stick with

otherwise, the paint is still shining beautifully

Buddy I saw the weight on that list as well....but I just wanted someone to weigh it. Not sure where the weight came from in that other thread...

and yeah I think any bathroom scale will be accurate than mine....mine showed a variation of almost 2 lbs while I was taking some air out of the tires
