I voted for rims + drop.. For the type of rims I'd go for the Zenetti Deuces. Thats acutally the rims I want to get for my NBP next year :p I also noticed that the Zenetti Deuces in the pictures you posted has the rivits photoshoped black. I too would try to paint the rivets black if I bought thoughs rims.. the TL looks too sporty with polised rivets imo.

Thanks guys. Yes Haste they were photoshoped by me. I think the rivets are a little bit over the top as well ... they don't look horrible with them ... but I just think it looks cleaner without those rivets.

take the front tag off, clear the headlights, rims but not 20s (I think they are overkill) and not black rims, mild drop, teins.

Ok thats my $.02

If that's the Rosslyn tunnel, you made it look exotic. Good shot.

ZENETTI'S AND DROP. I got your back for the system. Even though I hate the TL system. It isn't loud or clear enough. Rims and drop first. System second. Headers last. Then supercharge and youll never let her go!

Zenetti Deuces I'd go with the 19's though. Don't want to rough of a ride.

19's are so small....20s fill in the wheel well & black wheels set the TL off depending what color you have. I think the 18 Aspec rim & suspension is a waste of money.....with that paper you can get a real suspension & wheels, serious over kill thats my

go with the rims and drop, it will make your car stand out from others. plus your car already has good power. either wheel will look good, but u have to like the look.

Response's

Thanks for ALL the comments guys! I think it'll have to be the Zenetti Dueces for the rims choice and it'll have to be the next mod (if the money situation allows of course). Special-Ed thanks for checkin in on my car! ... I couldn't remember your name for the life of me for some reason. ha

GeraldB - I'm not sure what Tunnel that was ... somewhere in NW DC I think ... it was late at night and the tunnel had speed camera's ... I think it was like 395 tunnel or something?

MX6PEDDLER - Big thanks on the system man! Let me know about the prices

RJANACONDA - Hey man, I'm actually done with those rims and trying to sell them. Prolly for like $1,700 obo with tires. They are KMC brand. ONLY washed with a wash mit and soap ... never used chemicals on them ever ... and washed at least 2-3 times a week during the spring, summer, and fall because I worked at the detail shop back then. There are 2 really good tires on it and the other 2 are just okay. 235's on 2 and 245's on the other 2 I think... but not sure. Let me know if you want more info. tho!

lembowski - They don't sell them in 19's anymore ... so it has to be DUB's. TIS = Twenty Inches Strong!

K-Shawn - Yes, the 20's will look real good on my car because with black rims if you have to go large to make it look right or else they'll just look like some little stock size rims or something. I had the chance to get the Aspec rims at Employee Discount from Acura but passed it up bc I wanted to get something different.

ubnpast & cTLgo - No tinting or rockblocker's for me ... I like the ruby red tails.

I'm biased but I say the Donz and you don't have to get them staggered. 19"s don't feel up the gap, and the 20's ride good unlike those w/o 20's don't believe, if you get the tein ss coilovers you can play with dampening to your liking.

CL Platano - The 1st to say the Donz, ha, and yeah, I wasn't planning on getting them staggered.

rimz - Okay, cool. I know the ones at Best Buy are not the highest quality, but if I could get some speakers from there at a discounted price ... I'll take them, ya know?

i totally understand, but check around first, especially on ebay...when i put my system in my '01 impala, i had an alpine cd/mp3 deck (retail $500), alpine amp, sony dvd player, sony 6.5" widescreen lcd screen in passenger visor, sony 7" widescreen flip-down screen, 1 pair of sony wireless headsets, and two 12" JL Audio subs in the trunk....i bought everything on ebay except for the JL subs for $1500...i bought the JL subs from a friend for $250...you wouldn't believe how hard those things would hit, even if your volume was only half way up...i had people from half a block away telling me objects in their apartment on the 2nd floor were shaking sometimes...

anyways, ckeck around first and if you don't find anything, then best buy may be your way to go (though i can never bring myself to buy much from them)...

whoa whoa whoa.....i was the first to say donz..wheres my recognition??? ..lol..im just playin but yea i totally agree with PLat on everything especially the part about the ride. The ride with 20's isnt changed much to be honest with you, but i guess it will be hard for ppl to believe until they get it.

CL Platano - Not bad, but I think I wanna do all black on black on black on black, haha. And no anyone I'm not doing tinted tails, haha.

Acuracy - Whoops, sorry about that man, haha ... still a lil hung over from yesterday ... it was a longgg weekend.

20s is the look to go.....with the right offset (35mm) your TL is going to be sick, you should consider staggering the TL. Invincible, Acuracy, Kptl, myself, & few others did the DUBs staggered & are happy with the style & set up. You shouldn't have any rubbing or tires being damage if you purchase the right set up for your car.

im running 20x9.5 in the front with 245/35 tires and the rear im running 20x9.5 with 275/30. It depends on how aggressive u want ur drop to be, that will determine if u rub or now. U can alwayz go with a 255 tire in the rear and u wont rub at all. I personally like a agressive drop, thats why i rub alittle in the rear and front, still trying to figure out how to eliminate the rubs without raising the car.

My car is on Koni/Neuspeed's with Tein S Tech springs. Eibach pro kit is just a relabeled and recolored Koni Yellow shock but you get the Eibach springs instead. Thing is with the Koni Neuspeed's you get 5 spring perch settings. With the Eibach pro kit or standard Koni Yellow's, you'll only get 3 height settings.

Travis......you have to see Muzzio, he can adjust your camber & caster or your toe in, so it can probaly correct your rubbing issue.

I would say go ahead and finish your exhaust "system" I mean, you've got the exhaust and intake, why not just finish it off then do rims and drop or the stereo??

I'm running 20x10s in the rear with 255-30-20 & 20x8.5 in the front with 245-30-20, with a 35mm offset. The only altering you have to do is either roll or shave the rear arches and roll the arches in the front.

There's settings on the springs? I didn't know that! So your saying the Eibach Pro Kit is good to get ... do I have to replace my shocks already ... I mean I have a 06' so they should be fine for now, right?

I was thinking that too ... but the rims EVERYONE will notice even when the car is parked and it'll tie the outside all together as well. So it's either do the last thing to finish the exterior (rims) or do the last thing to finish off the exhaust system (the "headers"). I think it'll be the rims hopefully ...

Man, I didn't know I would have to do that stuff. How hard is it, what tool would I need the body shop to have, do you think most body shops would do something like that, and how much do you think they'd charge me?

Also, what size tires could I get with 20's to def. not have to roll the fenders with? I forgot what size SpecialEd used with his car ... but he's the only person on this forum that I've seen with the Duece's on his 3GTL.

KPTL had 245/35/20 on his first set of 20's and just had to roll the fenders in the rear with the Pro-Kit drop. Your shocks will be fine for now, but will wear quicker with aftermarket springs. I ran a year on Eibach Sportlines and stock shocks on my CL.
