I was thinking that too ... but the rims EVERYONE will notice even when the car is parked and it'll tie the outside all together as well. So it's either do the last thing to finish the exterior (rims) or do the last thing to finish off the exhaust system (the "headers"). I think it'll be the rims hopefully ...

Man, I didn't know I would have to do that stuff. How hard is it, what tool would I need the body shop to have, do you think most body shops would do something like that, and how much do you think they'd charge me?

Also, what size tires could I get with 20's to def. not have to roll the fenders with? I forgot what size SpecialEd used with his car ... but he's the only person on this forum that I've seen with the Duece's on his 3GTL.
Usually its complimentary service where ever you purchase the wheels to roll or shave wheel arches.

Hey Travis, I thought you were running a staggered setup? Or did I get it mixed up and your just running wider tires in the rear? What's the offeset of your front rims because I remmeber you saying you have a BBK also?

Oh yeah AcurasGhost, I think the Zenetti's would look really nice on your NHB!!!

whoa...dont know how i wrote that ...i meaant 20x8.5 in front. Sorry and thanks nymalu for picking that up. To be honest i cant remember the offsets, i have to check my reciept and yea i do have the BBK. thats why my lip isnt as big as K-shawns because i have a BBKin thee front and told them im gonna get the BBK for the rear as well so i had to email them templates for both BBK(front and rear). So they made it according to that

Need Help With Tires Size Choices and Need Pics

Just remembered it's Friday the 13th that's the bad luck day, lol. Not the 14th! haha

Thanks nYmALu86 for the comment.

Man Guys!, I can't make a final decision on what kinda size tires to get!!! Should I just play it safe with 255's and not have any rubbing issues at all (right?) or go for the big boys and get the 275's on a 20 x 10 rim???

The people that I'll buy the rims from said they'll do like a 45 offset to my rims for me ... is that a lot of an offset? Can it be bad in anyway? I forgot what the meaning of offset means ... I know it's like the mm off the center line of the wheel or something, right?

Can people with the 255's and higher possibly take a picture similar to these pics so I can see how far exactly your tires might be sticking out in the rear? I looked closely at the pics that you guys have ... but can't find a low corner shot like mine. Thanks if u can do it. Also, if there's any pics of rolled fenders and a pic of the cut out peice of the little plastic part that holds the rear aspec back lip on please (ya know... the part where there's a couple screws) ??

Get tein suspension. The drop will enhance the look of the car greatly. Get the Donz wheels, they look awsome, but both wheels look nice.

Hmm. thanks a lot guys it helps to see this ... I think I might go with just the 255's because they don't stick out as far as the 275's. If I have the offset of 45, then do you think it would be sticking out more, less, or the same as Acuracy's 275's ?

Looks like it will cost me $300 to install the springs because it's so much work (taking out the back seat, etc. ... but that $300 is better than $600 if my mechanic did it not as a side job). Plus, $120 for tire mounting, balance, and alignment. Ahhh ... the numbers never stay still for a final price on something, do they? ha

Once it's all done ... i just found out ... well calculated it out ... it will be almost exactly $1,000 shy of the super charger price! But I'm not going to be on that list for people wait 12 weeks to get it from that "group buy" ha.

Red face

This week's mods that are definitly happenin' ....

- Eibach Springs (Pro Kit) Installed
- Blacked out headlights
- 24LED Turn Signals Upfront
- 9000k Purple HID Bulbs
- Possibly, but not likely, painted OEM grille.

What wasn't on this weeks agenda ... I got my 28th ... that's right ... 28th pullover last night. I borrowed my friends Evo, washed it all up, was closing up the night, and right before I got home I got pulled over for 30 over (5 points). I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope the cop misses the court date ... it's happened to me before numerous times and they've missed the court date for such a high speed ticket.

I really want to see pics of the LED turn signals and the HID's so hurry up

I’m getting the grille work done too! It'll look like this, but maybe without the silver emblem.

I can’t wait to see my car once it all comes together, haha. Oh don’t worry, I’ll post a few pics of everything. Before and after pics if I can remember. Below is a day picture of the turning signals that are in Xtin’s car … she has the exact same turning signals I will be getting I believe.

You coulda done 255’s all around with pretty much no problems at all … you’ll be fine upfront for sure. In the back .. you might have to do some work tho. Read post 49 in this thread and see how he had to cut a little piece of the rear aspec kit off to stop the rims from rubbing with 275’s and a drop. He also rolled the fenders.

The work is being done now through Friday the 19th ... and then I'll pick it up at 7:00 Friday night. I'm leaving Saturday sometime for NC, so if I can, I'll post before and after pics for the grille (painted NHB), headlights totally blacked out, LEDs, and springs.

Saw your ride all torn apart last night... Looks like it is coming together... Did you ever make it back over to pick up that last grill strip?

Xtin - Whoops, my bad.

Jeff - When Dennis told me u were coming to get your car done to I was thinkin 'great ... more of the TL's in the crew stayin' up with the latest mods' haha. Yeah my car is coming together nicely ... I had training at the gym so I couldn't get out of that till 10:30pm and then I had to ride back out to Springfield to get that part we forgot ... BUT the good thing is that my 9000k purple lights came to my house right before i left for the gym, THUS I was able to drop them off to Dennis so my car will be all done with the mods I have left to install this week. I was so pissed I left that peice, but was kinda glad because it made me go back to drop off those lights that I didn't want to have to mess with. When day and time are you going back up to get your car?

looking good man! I'm still on the fence on whether I should keep the orange reflector or just go with some led's like you've got after blacking out the lights. I like it without that silver strip too!

Can you refer me to the part number and place where you picked up the LED blinkers? thx!

edit: If possible, could you show an upclose pic of the front with the headlights off?

Xtin - Why ask who I live with and he did everything but the grille.

jmbnova – thanks!

dezzzmond - thanks … sure, we can meet up sometime … the exhaust sounds sweet!

Shayan – thanks … rims should come soon and then I’ll start re-doing the sound system, maybe a carbon fiber hood with the sides painted, etc. etc. etc. This baby isn’t done yet!

Acuracy – thanks … pm me for where I got the HID’s from … it’s not from this site or any group buy. I can’t be done with this after rims … we aren’t even to stage 3 yet!!!

ed99 – thanks man. Pm me for the LED blinker website. Sure, I’ll post pics of it up close when I get the chance later this week (before the weekend probably).

GeraldB – thanks man!
