Huge-ish update, so I got new wheels (Surprise surprise) about a month ago. They're AodHán DS05. I also decided to just complete the A-Spec kit, so I picked up the sides and rear from Acura and sent it off to paint. Got my rear spats from Artwork Bodyshop, got my trunk hinge covers hydrodipped, and used some Lamin-X tint covers for the headlights!
Agree with all of the comments here - the DGP and dark chrome wheels plus the dipped grille and license plate trim make for a very clean look. I really want to try that wood grian vinyl wrap. You mentioned that you had the console apart for your shifter, but to wrap the interior pieces it's not necessary to take them off? I've never tried vinyl wrapping so is there a technique you can tell me about?

So in regards to the trim on the door panels, you can just wrap it on there. For the center, I wrapped the doors while it was assembled. The only reason I took the center piece out was to unclip the silver trim around the shift boot in order to tuck the vinyl underneath and have a seamless look. For actually wrapping them, just make sure its clean, lay the vinyl on the door panel trims, squeegee, and trim. For the doors, start from the middle and work your way out. Then use some heat in order for the wrap to conform tightly around the silver strip on each door, then use a blade and cut them out. Its pretty easy to do!

Thank you! I actually like the turn signal aspect of the 07-08 mirrors, but I like the overall shape of the 04-06 more than the 07-08.
As you know, I installed Lamin-X "tint" covers when I installed the rest of my kit. They looked great for the first couple weeks, and they still look great.... UNTIL you get up close or my lights are on. Holy shit, my lenses have some serious cracking on the inside. I looked it up and many people have this issue. It looks terrible, so I bought another set of stocks and need to find time to modify them. Also have some smoked inspire fog lights waiting to go on.
No. Taillights are perfectly fine. My theory is that the HID produces heat and the film does not dissipate it well, then you you drive, the wind cools it down really fast, causing the crazing. Taillights are LED, so it simply does not get as hot as the headlights. It sucks, but it is what it is. I already got a refund from Lamin-X and put that towards another set of stock headlights to modify.
Sold my base lip, I missed the Type-S lip a lot. I also made me a new set of headlights, metallic black bezel, housing, and corner, satin black ring and strip, ZKW-R lens. Gotta get the lip painted and install the OEM fogs. Don't know if I should slightly smoke the fogs or not.
you are a fucking animal.
you are a fucking, animal.
looks great! I miss that sharp cutoff!
Thank you! One thing I gotta say about the cutoff. Its super distracting lol. As the cutoff bounces my eyes keep getting drawn to it as I am driving haha
Nice man! I think I might be doing a headlight project too. Take the amber parts out and put in the ZKW-R lenses in. Glad you went with the Type S lip. I'd mixed on the smoked fogs thing. Part of me says do it. Another part say no.

Do it! Really enhances the look of the car! I ended up doing a 35% tint on them and it looks great.

Never have been more content with any of my setups! In love with this car. Upcoming plans: I have OEM axles sitting in my garage. Going to pick up OEM upper control arms, Mevotech lower control arms, OE lower ball joints, and CTR outer tie rods next weekend, then the whole front suspension will be getting an overhaul! I don't want to risk having my ball joints failing. After that, she is going in for paint in February. Little birthday gift to myself!
Yeah, that'll be a picture you look back on when she's gone and think...why the hell did I sell her. Ask me how I know...
Really? Is it in need of paint or you're bored?
