1st TL-S on air in
iTrader: (2)
i went to the shop yesterday to check out the progress and approve/make changes to the rear fenders...car is still a LONG way out, so i didnt take any pics...but its moving along in the right direction. did encounter a problem tho.....so naturally the 19" wheels raised the car a bit in relation to the 17s, but i cant lower the car anymore, because my driver side rear wheel is hitting my gas tank..i really dont want to have to relocate it, so any suggestions?

mmk so....first off, yes my car is wide and no, its not for everybody.
Second, the obligatory "PICTURES DONT DO IT JUSTICE," but in this case it really is true, especially in regards to the front bumper... for those who know me well, im very picky and meticulous, and im absolutely amazed by the quality and look of the bodywork thus far.
anyway, here are some updated progress pictures. Hope you guys enjoy em...sorry that theyre out of order.
oh and i must say, the radius makes 19s look HUGE

damn dude, i think thats the most custom body work i've ever seen on a TL. i thought its been at the shop for quite some time time now? from the looks of it its gonna be there a good while longer. but if thats what it takes to get it right so be it. the work looks pretty damn good id say.
the front clip hangs soo low, im guessing its just mocked up on there. and will be adjusted to follow the lines of the rest of the kit. only thing i dont like about it is all the openings, i know two are for the fogs, but the bottom ones are unnecessary i think. the fenders are crazy flared! i think they look huge cuz their not painted yet. anything bigger would have been borderline cartoonish IMHO.
when this thing is done its gonna be a showstopper, and at the top of the list as far as TL's on this site for sure!

i did a little photoshopping on your car Adrian. hope you dont mind... im with a couple of the other guys, there seems to be a bit too much going on in the front bumper so i cleaned it up to what i think is more fitting...
before:

after: (my photoshop)
![](http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f175/KnightRyder/dab77b1a.jpg)
i cut out the horizontal bars, the upper grill is gutted, and the lower portion of the front lip is cut out... this would help you big time functionally as well because at your insane low ride height, having the middle of the bumper open on the bottom will give you a little more space to work with when climbing driveways and stuff.

also, might i recommend you have the shop cut you a skid plate out of thin gauge aluminum or something and have it riveted to the underside of your front bumper, out of sight, mainly on the corners because you know you're going to scrape the shit out of them on driveways and inclines so better to have a skid plate than to tear up your one of a kind bumper.
now getting a thicker gauge plate to protect your j-pipe is a whole other story, that shit looked tore up, lol.

^ This. It's an after market bumper made by Job Design for the new generation Lexus GS350
Thanks, I chose these sizes to be extravagent without going COMPLETELY overboard.
I smell a epic photoshoot.
Thanks, you have one of the best examples of a clean TL, and one of my favorites as well. The front bumper is only mocked up atm, but it will sit probably only 1/4" higher than in these pics. I'm sure its obvious that i want my car lowwwwww. As for the bumper, i knew that would be the most controversial aspect of the build. Personally, I'm going for a look that mimics the VIP cars in Japan, and i think the fenders and front bumper compliment the style very well. As for completion, we're shooting for mid December!
feel free to PM me regarding pricing, but keep in mind good work costs money!
haha we gonna have to cruise when i get it back, dumped static style.
Thanks!
Thanks, tho CF roof isnt my style.
Thanks, perhaps the finished look with it all painted and what not will change your mind about the bumper. Heres 2 pics of what looks like in its intended application...i think despite all the details and vents, its a very classy look.

fenders/quarter panels are about 98% all metal. He smoothed it out with fiber glass on top.
<3 photoshoot with you as well.
Hi Faiz
Been wondering where you been ever since you never commented on my euroline setup =[
Thanks and thanks!
looks like a nice chop! its not final yet, so there will be some changes, but see above about the bumper

Thanks, cant wait to drive it! But theres too many nice 3g's these days.
a lot of thought went into the front bumper and wheel selection. Cant wait til its all done!
