I know To bad u work on the 15th were that event is going down. I would have showed up a lil earlier to make a shoot before entering the gates at BMP. March 8th is NMRA at BMP also...maybe u are not working and can join me in the stands for some sick action! Check BMP schedule and events. Also, Idk if u would ever be interested in TEST & TUNE at Sunshine Speedway. I believe they go down on some Fri. and of course friendly battle street races at Sunshine for STREET WARS!

It is...it's a little go kart!

Honestly, what you got is what I had my eye on. But then, I decided I wanted a GT500 and it was too much, and then priced out a 2012/2013 5.0 with track package and it would have been too much money to be a second vehicle. Plus, as Betty put it...it would be ANOTHER daily driver. Then, I saw the 2015 concept...who knows...I do know that by having gotten the S, I put myself in a better future position to sell both the TL and the S and have a chunky down payment for my next car! I will admit though, I salivate like a mofo every time I see my buddy Javier's white 2013...

I hear u bud...I am starting to dig more and more the 2015. At 1st I was not a fan of the front end design resembling a Taurus or a Fusion on steroids. But more and more, its starting to come together and rub on me. After reading the awesome article FORD put out on Mustang Magazine...It should and sounds like a MONSTER waiting to be let loose! Showing off its 1st in 50yr history IRS and a few components internally from the BOSS 302 engine. Which happens to be the FASTEST! N/A Mustang ever to be put out by Ford. Like yourself, I would have loved to harness my ass in a GT500 and shopped around for even a older model like, 2006-2008 but still found them above $30k before all the fine print charges were applied during financing. Then I glanced over at ROUSH...and that quicky became a blur of a glance when they shared the same exact sticker and value price Used $30-40k and NEW $65k ~ OUCH! Lucky, I just got really luck after the turmoil with the white one to pull through with this black one out the door and end of term/taxes/financed/shipped from Texas = $28k @ 2.76% fully loaded Brembo Track Pack + 500 Shacker Audio and more! Its everything I wanted...PERIOD! Its great to feel passionate about a car again. Way above and beyond the TL since the TL was just a filler in my life for the time being. I am at home now with what I was raised with as a child.

^^^See, and I HAD to have the 2013 tails AND projector headlights (I think it's standard in 2013)...so imagine, I'm right back above 32K.

Either way, we're all happy! I agree, independent rear suspension will be a MAJOR game changer for the Mustang in today's world of tracking and handling and curvy roads. Crazy Crazy Crazy things to come!

and the 2013+ has that grill/nose that comes out more giving a meaner look. Love the 2013+!!! But I am beyond happy with my 12. I already installed 6k HIDs to make up sum for no projector opt. The assembly themselves can be found ...but $300+ each headlight! But u can obviously see the lighting difference between the HIDs and the stock bulbs in the fogs...WOW! In person its amazing!

I think you're forgetting the 99-04 Cobra had IRS. It handled great and was perfect for the road course, but was very weak on the drag strip. Hopefully they build it stronger so people aren't converting their cars over to a solid axle.

here u go ROCKSTAR ~ Kona Blue 2013 w/projectors and BREMBO Track Pack + NOT BLACK!...lol



This guy on SVTP has the same exact suspension set up as I do and he is running a 275/40/19 in the rear...I love it!

Yeah. Totally agree. Its a beautiful color! Especially in some bright sunlight changing from a very bright vibrant blue with flakes to a darker blue as it passes or certain angles are viewed.

BTW quick update to what is coming and what I am working on currently up to date. Just contacted my SCT Tuner to redo or get rid of the BAMA tune I have now to reflash a AED tune who happens to be a well known big name guy (SHAUN) at AED who says they have some of the most accurate and best performing tunes available on the market PERIOD! Also, I will be installing the JBA Long Tube Headers & JBA 3in (no cats) off road X pipe & BOSS Intake Manifold from the BOSS 302 Edition Mustang. ~ MAN! I am so stoked!

what do those mean in performance gains (ie numbers)? not familiar with any of the names haha

From a manufacture reported stock 421hp to the crank, all of this adds up to approx 485+ Hp to the crank and approx 425 RWHP. Most of the jargon was name brand and method of Ecu tuning from a SCT hand held device. This also transpires to a 11.80sec car over or under by .10 either way...hope that helps to put everything in perspective

Update from this weekend. Always trying to do SOMETHING to the whip so I decided to try this method I saw on youtube on how to remove the awful looking VHT NIGHT SHADE spray tint...Here it is STEP by STEP









Next... the car is being dropped off at the shop this evening for tomorrow's install of the JBA Long Tube Headers and Off Road X pipe. *evil grin* The FULL Bolt-On Build is almost done!


...I know I know!!! before the PEANUT GALLERY goes off on me. I should be washing & detailing her instead. I got it! lol!

Sooooo much better. I hope you didn't leave the goof off on for too long and didn't get it on the black plastic. That stuff is caustic as fk for plastic!


Question: are the 2013 tails a direct fit?

Yeah, it hazed the black plastic some but all is well. I am will spray it with some matte finish plastic paint or try to restore the areas. No biggie. Its under the trunk lid for now. I still have some detailing and revive to do to the set. I will smoke em again, just the right way and very light! I want a burnt candy cherry look with the surface finish being hi gloss. That VHT matte finish was KILLING ME! As for 2013-14 fitment on 2011-12 tails...Not clear yet but I have already done a search and seems like they do and don't! But I also like the looks of the 13-14 but what can I do? Nada. Just work with what I have. There is another alternative but still not clearly sure if I even like em. American Muscle has a after market set from a Co. named RAXIOM. Fitment is said to be superb! But I am still not 100% on the tail in general and their looks as a whole... Here they go. Thoughts?

Is the white/reverse area indented at all? Like, easy to tape off. or possibly use an exacto knife on? I'd suggest a very light colored vinyl if so...

Also, a shame you removed the VHT if you wanted them darker, you could have hit them with a porter cable...orange pad and M105, then polish them to a high shine with white pad and M205! It actually polishes but also removes SOME material so maybe it would have ended up being the perfect slightly less dark shade you're looking for.

Just some ideas...
I'd rather see you keep your OEM tails or see about being able to retrofit the 2013's...no aftermarkets!
