OK Fellas, there is def going to be some TL pics and other car pics coming once I get the hang of this camera. I learned alot today with the individual modes and their behaviors with slight adjustments but mainly trying to know the limits of the AUTO setting in certain situations and when to make the call to switch to a mode for manual setting adjustments...Here are a few walk around the house shootin anything pics

In the Canon program I edited the pics and cleaned them up but don't know how to share them out of that library yet. So here are the raw AUTO pics.

Wow...that camera does all the work. Shooting like a pro already! By Monday you'll be a guru and will be helping newbs out with camera technique!

Great shots though...seriously

Thanks J I came str8 from work and grabbed the manual and started reading where I left off last. While waiting, the mail came and there was my memory cards. I then thought of the idea of logging in YouTube and seeing if I can get any didactic learning tip rather then reading all this damn Chinese. No my surprise, there were several really good detailed walk throughs of the 600D step by step amd screen by screen. So between the 2 leasons and technique I learned so much. I am understanding shutter speeds, somewhat ISO's, macro, AF,etc etc... but kost of all getting to know what they do hands on when selected and removed. That gives me ideas to styles or setting I want or don't want in shooting situations or shooting subjects.

The family photos look good, which is the reason you bought the camera for. The plants photos are a good example of when to manual focus instead of auto focus. It looks like the focus was just off of what you were intending to capture on some of them.

Take multiple photos of the subject, but change the settings on each shot. Change the f/stop to get the entire subject in focus instead of part of it. Manually focus the camera so it gets the leaf in focus instead of the branch. Play around with the settings so you can learn the camera when you load them on the comp.

You're off to a great start. This isn't something you take out of the box for the first time and shoot pro shots.

Thanks Adam! Yeah, its def not easy. I loaded my self with tons of info and hope I grasp some at best. I will continue to review, shoot, review, shoot etc etc, Thanks~ BTW, how do I get the edited pics from the Canon program out so I can share em? The ones downloaded to the PC seem to always be the RAW unedited ones, like shown above.

Messing around a lil with the Canon editing program to get the full photo experience begining with taking a good pic to editing. Practice Practice Practice...lol! Its a start~ My goal was to get a more "POPPIN" pic with detailed texture and depth.

THANKS PREDATORBIRD/Adam for texting me "HOW TO" getting the photos from Canon Digital Photo Professional program to allow me to post/share.

it's all subjective, but from another novice I think you're shooting for somewhere right in between. top is bland, bottom is too intense. Less saturation, maybe? Might have been perfection!

You're on a faster learning curve than me, that's for sure.

And if you're wondering why my last set of posts have been relatively sour, it's cause you said you'd sell me your spoiler and you didn't. Now I'm butthurt cause I liked it and I was #1 on your list to buy it. You can fix this by quietly going over to the new owner's home and taking the spoiler off of the car. When he texts you with "OMFG some fkn jackass took my spoiler"...you can simply reply..."dang, that sucks, some jackass DID steal your spoiler".

Then, box it up, and ship to me and then our friendship can return to normal. Just saying.

Did my practice shoot yesterday. I noticed, it really is all in the editing more then the pic itself, although having a GOOD/GREAT camera makes everything else easier and less limitations. Just posting a pic to see how it comes across the internet webz

They do look good, but if I may make a recommendation...one that I learned over time, don't give yourself the "out" of feeling like the shots don't have to be too good in the field cause you can just edit them. Since I feel like I'm getting better, I've gone from shooting in Auto and editing almost every shot before posting...to now where i shoot in program/manual and almost never edit at all.

Then again, HDR used to be my favorite...now, I am just trying to capture what I see with my eye. I shoot a lot, come home and scroll thru and write down what images give me a visual hard on. Then I upload those to flickr. That's another thing, stick with Flickr, not sure where you posted these to.

You are off to a good start though.

That is exactly what I do right now. Sometimes I will shoot the same shot while sitting on the tripod and take one pic per option. But for the majority... I leave it on AUTO and edit later. Next may be learning or adj small things. I am pleased where I am at as of now till I get the mojo going with the skillz.

Good Morning AZ Members and Fam. Long time no hear. I do still talk to a few members here and still!!! get text messages and PM regarding fitment, mods and audio questions and everyone once in a while, sell a INFINITE BAFFLE Template. Well, obviously I been away since letting the ACURA TL go to a friend of mine and just been chillin commuting daily in the 06 ACCORD until recently... After 6-8mo without a toy or a enjoyable car to drive, i decided to go back to my roots. Although, always messed with HONDA and always kept on on the side and back pocket. My love has always been with Mustangs since a child. I have had them all...From Notch Fox Bodies to Terminators and now, back on the saddle with a Coyote 5.0 ~ I must say, I am definitely enjoying the new ride

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Years...and God Bless you ALL!

Owned for now 1 week and my very first mod...lol! Removed the chrome in place of black More to come in the mail: SCT "Bama" Tune, BMR Lowering springs, BMR Adj. Panhard Bar, Boss 302 front lip fascia, JLT Cold Air Intake, JLT oil separator kit pass/driver side, 5.0 Logo mats and I will be vinyl wrapping the roof, raised hood accents and rear deck panel myself GLOSS BLACK!
