It's like you broke up with a girl and met someone new. While you were dating that girl, no one really said anything great about her. As soon as you kicked her to the curb, all your friends come out to tell you how much she sucked at life.

We all like this new girl you're dating...

I'm just glad you found a solution, bud! And YES, everyone is now being honest about liking or not liking the old set. It's just a HUGE upgrade so everyone is letting you know how much more they love these now.

Between today and this weekend my plans are to FINALLY install my TLS center caps and install my JL AUDIO amp and IDMAX 12 sub. Last night I went to remove the 1/2 of a sub that remains in the baffle from its catastrophic failure and I was not able to reach the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positioned screws. So, looks like the seats will have to come out. I am also thinking of pulling the wiring through the baffle to install all of the electronics within the cab now with a MUCH smaller amp

Install center caps, not sure I'd count that as a mod. Why the fk did it take you so long?

Laziness dude... Plus, can't leave the baby inside while I go outside to install em. Then there is my shift, sometimes I am just too dam tired. Last, I have had the FLU all week and lucky I can even show up at work nevertheless work on my car for any mod or install. So, as u can see, I have several things against me daily. Its tough to do anything until the weekends. Even those are not promised. lol!

BTW... TLS center caps are DEFINITELY a mod considered the stock XXR center caps...LOL! Being they need to be heated and massaged makes it a mod also

Random pics loaded up on the way to my storage unit to drop off my stock wheels and tires and p/u some baby clothes since its been getting sorta kinda chillie here. The wife really gets paranoid about the baby... U know how the wives get as mothers...

Tucking hard as fawk with the car loaded with all 4 wheels and tires and random misc stuff to go to storage ~ Not one sweak or scrape since the fender work. The rears tuck in perfectly even loaded and driving was so smooth at this height:

PARKED HARD at storage...lol!

After:

Center caps installed More pics to come when my camera battery is charged. All of these pics where courtesy of my Samsung GSIII.

You know... now that u mentioned it, you are completely right. And it's not the lighting. The pics pretty much show the real deal hollifield color and luster. How they look in the pics is how they rally look in person. Now I don't ok now go be mad or happy...lol! I guess with black either shade can be pulled off easily.

Wow Josh-very nice!

Hey, not to be a buzzkill, but in that first picture, it looks like you've got a bad case of swirl-city. Was that just the angle of the shot, or is some Porter Cable action in your immediate future?

Josh, you're going to need moe than a clay bar. You'll probably need a Porter Cable with sound compound to get rid of the spider webs. You're car looks too good to not get that taken care of.

Steven probably knows this from past experience with black cars, hence why he picked silver.

I concur though...recently, used this carnauba wax that seemed to actually make my imperfections look a lot more obvious and I realized it was time to hit it. Only problem with me is I have all the tools, but lack the patience...I ended up doing one pass with my makita rotary and a white pad with some Megs 205 to get rid of the majority of em. What you can't compound away, hide with some good polymer based sealant like zaino or wolfgang.

Steven, autogeek.net is having a 15% off sale for Veteran's Day and they also have a HUGE buy one get one section. I just ordered a whole bottle of that Wolfgang Deep Paint Sealant stuff to the tune of $33 (after the discount). Had to do it...having used it again today, I was absolutely STUNNED at how easily the stuff came off and how deep the shine was. I could do a coat of that stuff in about 20 minutes after a wash.
and this is coming from a heavy advocate of Zaino. But this stuff makes the Z2 seem hard to remove in comparison. And the last few times I applied the Zaino, I felt like it was kind of streaky. Anyway, love the stuff, order a sample or PM Nick@autogeek and see if he'd be willing to sell/pay for ship a sample.

Thanks Jeremy-I saw that Autogeek offer too! I was considering getting the permanent tire black with that. It is $40, but shipping is $12 on top of that. With the discount, it came to $45, so I'm not sure.

I wonder how the Wolfgang product do on a metallic finish? I've been really enjoying the Griot's Garage stuff lately.

I don't think the SC4 staff was ready for the amount of ppl that showed up. We thought we would get there early and even being there an hour before it began the venue was already packed, I-95 was back up that state troopers had to force any modded car 5 miles to the next exit lol. I had to park in the overflows overflow parking lol. The cars that were there when I parked were not the same when I left so the constant flow of cars coming in was insane lol. Just like last year there were cars in overflow parking crushing those in the Main section. Yours could of been one Josh!! Lol

pictures?!?

Steven, funny, I bought the mini ez wheel brush. Anything to make cleaning the rims easier!
I was also looking at that forever black stuff...the dye, not the dressing. 128 oz for $40. If it works, that'll last a LONG time! I tried Griots and maybe it's because of a black car or I let it bake too long but it was brutal to get off. I am in love with the wolfgang. PM Nick...see if he'll let you try a sample with whatever you order.

Thanks for all the care tips guys... I will be looking into something soon. Obviously, McGuire's Car Wash w/Carnuba wax and McGuire's Quick Spray detail is not good enough anymore. I just been so lazy to tackle such a job and task.
