Who the hell is hating?!? You've gotten nothing but compliments!
When I asked about the spray paint it was because I can't believe the guy took enough pride in his work that he actually took the time to spray the weld so you wouldn't look at it. I'm really close to pulling the trigger on these, but my girl said she didn't dig the ovals on the very angular car. She's usually the voice of reason...so I'll sleep on it.

And I totally forgot to answer that ? u asked re: paint. YES! after all welding was done, he did hit the exhaust necks and muffler pan giving that all around new look from the rear with flat black hi-temp paint as the last pics show the all around clean job and finish.

speaking of installing the CAI... Can anyone tell me if it requires the bumper cover to be removed to install? ...or only driver side wheel and fender well cover? Just wanted to ask before I make easy install into a full unnecessary project

Those tips look great Jay! I like them a lot more than the quads from So Cal Auto.

Also the reason is because I go to work when there is no one on the road but cops...230am. and the way my car looks and being black on balck, I guess they assume CRIMINAL or someone doing illegal dirt. I been pulled over approx total of 3-4x and always on the way to work. But once all checks out legit, they warn me and let me ride.Its the same one that was on my Black 06 SRT8 Magnum, Black 03 25th Anni COBRA Terminator and now my Black 06 TL. I will keep it til it cost me $$$.

anyway yeah the AEM CAI will sound hotttt and you need to remove the bumper for the install.....will make your life a whole lot easier !!!

Damn Jay, your TL looks outstanding. The wheels look absolutely perfect with your color car. Honestly, I can't remember when I've seen wheels compliment a car and it's design so well. The tips are just icing on the cake.

BTW...The sound is CRAZY AWESOME! Its deep and sounds so aggressive under throttle. I don't think I will be making any additions or changes to my exhaust for a long minute... 
I am completely happy with the tone provided by the CAI and other benefits. Completely sounds like a subtle aftermarket exhaust or performance OEM. Its PERFECT!
