I have had the airbag outline on the dash for over 7 years now (FULL OWNERSHIP)....all the cars at the lot (when I bought mine) had that LOL....
I have seen a small crack develop on my dash recently....I have been trying to see if I can do something at this point rather than waiting for it to totally open up....
funny thing is, when Matt had come over, I parked my car outside in the sun...after working on his car and after he left, I pulled my car back in the garage and I could not see the crack....the joy was amazing....I felt the dash up and no crack....I pinched myself and still no crack !!! I was in an awesome state of mind....
after about 45 minutes, I wanted reassurance....I went in the garage and sure enough, the crack was smiling right at me LOL...in the sun, the dash expands and hence the crack "covers" up....well, those 45 minutes sure were bliss

I'm sad to say, and it probably won't occur as quickly with you not being in South Florida, but it was a rapid demise after the first crack showed itself. I made a thread about trying to fill the crack, I tried using fishing line and a curved needle to sew it closed but alas, it was inevitable and it got much worse very quickly. When I took the dash cover off maybe a year later, the cracks were everywhere.
old dash.
old dash.
have you guys ever heard of drilling small round holes at the end of the cracks to stop them from spreading?
Just got mine crack by the airbag and been searching the net on how to stop it from spreading and that's something i kept seeing so i may try it then fill it with a compound.

Mondo, you reminded me of the doctor I used to go to when I broke my shin bone while playing soccer (tibia be precise)....well the skinnier and arched fibula was trying to straighten up and hence the doctor suggested to surgically break fibula and hence quicken the healing process....
the idea was good and I wasnt the experiment...but the way the doc said it, I was like "fuck this shit" (and I dont cuss till this date infront of my parents) haha....
my dad cracked up and I was telling my dad "umm no, fuck this, we need a second opinion" hahaha
aaaah memories hahaha...lucky enough my dad is here today, we gonna drink to this memory

*off topic* I know them feels on the injury. I fractured my Tibia Plateau playing soccer last august. Luckily no surgery was require. I walked on it for two days before getting it looked at! lol

I once ordered a lightweight pulley from a vendor. Price was $200. Added "swoosh" coupon code and it jumped to $350 with additional note on invoice stating "oh-that-arsehole-fee"
I appreciated the effort from Anil, but in the end, it wasn't worth it for me.

1 fellow vs most of the peeps who order...i can live with THAT
I remember Austin sending me a PM or a message since the coupon code saved him about 50-60 bucks when he ordered coils from Heeltoe
also we all know you dont buy anything brand new, specially from vendors

1) If you wink at me one more time, we're gonna fk.
2) The one thing I did HAVE to order from vendors and pay full price on was the UR Pulley.

edit: and the hard top locks I sold with the top.

well .01% is still better than nothing
I cant ask them to go in loss and run a business...they need to make money as well...most of the peeps offer a 5% discount which does save you the shipping cost, etc
I didnt ask anything in return from them (except Aaron when he asked if he could use "swoosh" code....i didnt know the product or how well it lasts and hence asked him to see what he can do for me)....my car is/was fully modded by the time I started that thread....

Uh...I know. That's why I said I wasn't ridiculing you and instead recognized your unrequited effort already.
I was grateful for whatever discount I got, although I don't think I remembered to use swoosh either order, to be quite honest.

considering that I refuse to modify tails for anyone but a select few, you did use your friend code to get that done. Especially given what I charge knowing that I dislike the work.
Shipping cost, ignorant shippers and the decision to keep the chipped corner to pocket the refund from said ignorant shipper were all out of my control.

...gah!
I knew it...
Honestly, on the reds, if you glue the corner back with RTV so it doesn't smoke from the chemical reaction, you'd be hard pressed to see the chip. I stand by my advice...which was that I would have just used em just like that.
Now, the REchipping during shipping, I knew that would likely happen but there was no way to protect the edges without putting pressure on them. But I also knew that a dab of rtv and some tape overnight would be well within your abilities.
The offer stands if you send me a good one, I'll fix it.

but but...now that so much time has past. Maybe I'll give you the crab treatment
I don't feel accountable, but I did feel badly that you spent a couple hundred when it was done and didn't have a set of tails you felt could be put on your car. I mean, sucks for you...sucks for me to have to have extra work to make an extra one when you decided to give me the green light to go ahead with the ones that arrived. In the end, it matters more to me that you're happy.

I feel bad that the effort you put in is just being used as paper weight and dust collector....where as I should be whoring them tails out...
again, thanks a lot dude means a lot to me that you will put in the extra work just because the seller didnt wrap the tails well....
