Not just that...I don't like the looks of the XXR. A little weaker, slam away...perfect. #weakoffsetcrew

What I like though is even that they're a weaker offset, since I went from the 8.75 to 9.5 I only lost 5mm off the wheel face so they still sit decent

I don't ask a lot of questions as I usually prefer trial by error, but when I see a thread dominated by Swoosh, Steven, GeeTee and Rockstar i 'd be a fool not to ask.

For the past 2 years my time has been dominated by remodel construction on my house (it doubles as my therapy) -) I'm rocking the waffles on the S and about to send my Aspecs in for a powder coating (not 100% sure on the color but something close to the waffles, maybe darker), the car is CBP. I'll be running both wheels periodically switching up now and then, most likely the Apecs in the nicer weather. I'm lowered on Aspec suspension (almost called it a drop, but its really an almost drop...but its what I wanted this time around).

Ahhhh the question. Ok...what do you guys recommend for spacers? What make/size. With the waffles, I'm running Michelin AS. Not sure what I'll run for rubber with the 18's.

If I don't respond right away it only means i'm in the middle of some good therapy. Much appreciated.

For spacer advice, the tire width will play a HUGE roll...I'd guess at your near stock height you have plenty to work with though so a 15/20 combo could work.
As far as brand...this last round I went with DMV motorsports on ebay ($60 each set shipped) and was happy with the quality.

Good luck, man...

I'd suggest going as close to the 8.5" stock aspec color as possible...don't darken up too much or you'll lose that nice contrast on the CBP (my favorite color, btw).

So after 5 hours of washing, waxing, claybar and detailing, I think the outcome was worth it

aww shiet, you know how to make a dude blush haha...

I agree with Jeremy, the spacers you will run will highly depend on the size of the tires...I am running Akata spacers on my stock wheels around the winter time and I have had no issues with them...so far they are treating me very well...Just to give you a little baseline...the poke depends on 2 things, tire size and the offset... (the wheel width does not play a huge part on it unless you are running 215 tires on the 10" wheel!)

On stocks, 17x8 +45, am running 225/45/17 tires with a 25mm spacer...making it 225 tires on a +20 offset (45 wheel offset MINUS 25mm spacer)...this setup makes it very very flush and does not rub since I raise the car a tad bit around the winter time...

I dont want to hijack Dan's thread, but here is the link to my flickr (https://flic.kr/s/aHsjAit6zb) where you can see how the stockies sit and hopefully it will help you decide on the spacer size!

about color, I think it comes down to personal preference....am not sure of gunmetal on CBP since it will effective be the same color...I actually like brushed aluminum on CBP, not sure if that is something you are considering...

hope this pic helps you decide

Honestly, I don't know if "dominated" is exactly right.....we just all talk a lot.

Thanks! The more I look around and checkout CBP pics with Aspecs the more I think you're spot-on with the not too dark advice. My Aspecs are bright silver and unfortunately not the 8.5's. The 8.5 gunmetal or black chrome or whatever its called is is the color i'm shooting for now. You think the Lexis black chrome would be too dark?? Glad I threw that question out to you as I now see how going too dark would (a) get lost in CBP and kill the contrast , but also (b) the gap between the rim spokes would become less pronounced (that gap is one of the features of the Aspecs I love the most). Again Thanks.

Having a difficult time finding the DMV motorsports spacers on eBay, but I'll keep looking.

Lowered it 1/2 inch for the show but I may just keep it there. Already had an alignment since lowering it
