d-townhakuo's progress thread, update pg. 10
Well, I got my car as an early birthday/beginning of 10th grade present (if that makes sense) Anyways, when I got the car, it had some cheap lowering kit (no name brand) and these Axis Phin's that were on my cousins 3 series, and he gave them to me. They were in poor condition. As soon as I got it, I took it to the tint shop, and debadged it, except for the dealer stick which required some work, here is the car...
Then, I updated to blue dome lights on front, and blue door lights. I also added an AEM V2 CAI. Also I upgraded to Tein Basic Coilovers. By this time, I named the car Monica, here are pics...
Then I added the GReddy EVO2 Catback to my car, here are the pics...
Lastly, I added 10,000k HID's, white license plate LED's, and paint my grill to my car. Here are the pics...
And here is my favorite pic of my car...ever!
Soon to come...Black Privat Netz (my rims are damaged badly, although not visible from far) Probably ATLP J-Pipe and Racepipe, also this summer-ASPEC BODYKIT!

I have to say...those rims look GREAT on your car.
I think you'd be better served putting the money you were gonna spend on NETZ on repairing the rims you have and then get the aspec kit.
I LOVE those rims on YOUR car...the color, shape and size. Perfect.
Nice progress man...very clean.

I like 'em too. It is more practical to get new ones though. I did research and was even willing to drive to a nearby state to get them repaired, but the damage costs weren't to my liking. Also I've always liked the tune-fork-like rims. And I've wanted to try on black. I know it might not look as good to some people, it will make me happy.

Well you being happy is the key.
I'm sure they'll look nice...I'm just picky with wheels and actually like yours. Around here in South Florida you can get them ALL repaired for around $200 or so. That's why I thought that'd be a good option.

Ya, also, I know one of the guys quite well at the Discount Tire I go to, and he gave me the Privat's for 75 bucks off ea. rim almost, so it was worth it.

D-Town, you've done some really nice work on your TL. Keep up the good work. Thanks goodness you were able to get the dealer sticker off the back!

I drove a Cavalier for a couple of months that thing was older than me.
I've never been a fan of the GReddy exhaust for the TL, but otherwise your mods seem pretty clean. But damn, 10,000K HIDs?

Looking good man! I wish I had that that TL when I was 16, but then again I didn't have a beater. I had a 06 F-150 Lariat for two months until I got my 01 CL-S. I kept the CL through freshman year of college and now I have the TL!
I'm looking forward to seeing the new wheels on the car

Nice, although most kids down here in Texas would have kept that truck. Most people at my high school think F-150's are the best cars to ever hit the road! Thanks for the nice comments.

I loved my truck but I hated the gas milage. I didn't get a truck because I thought it was the cool thing to do, but because I liked being up high in traffic. At the time I was making $6 an hour working 30 hours a week and I was struggling to make my car payment, insurance, and gas with that weak ass income.
But anyways, enough with my life story

Definitely! I called the Discount Tire guys, and they said the rims might come in today, but will most likely come in on Monday. I go back to school on Tuesday, so I hope I will have them on my car in time for me to go back to school.

I hope they come in on-time. I'm impatient when it comes to just about anything, therefore I hate when shit runs late. I'm sure they will be there though
