i got it professionally installed at a body shop the same time i got the roof painted and the intake powdercoated. I HIGHLY suggest you dont do this install in your driveway sorta deal. You have to cut out the OEM front grille with a dremmel and if you mess up you need a new front bumper since its all one piece.

After seeing all 8 pages I can say the NBP TL looked amazing, sorry that happened but you're safe and that's what counts. As you demonstrated, a car can be replaced, sometimes with the same car! But both your NBP and WDP look amazing, and I especially love the Volk rims. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread

VIS CF Hood ordered!! I felt bad since Ive been neglecting the TLS due to being a full time student and bartending full time so I bought her a new hood! It's on back order gonna be 3-5 weeks but I'll post pics after install

yea i sorta did but if you havnt noticed i go through phases....ill heavily mod for a little then wont touch it for 6 months then start modding again then stop lol. being out of touch with the import scene doesnt really motivate me to do nething to it since i think it looks decent the way it is. Then when stuff like IA rolls around i like i need mods!!!! so much to do so little time lol

RV6 Ceramic PCD and Jpipe ordered to complement my CF hood!!! im am so poor weeeeeeeeeeee!

PCD and jpipe should be here before the CF hood so ill post pics of install and try to get a video of before and after.

 

alright so the PCD and jpipe are installed. Didnt take many pics cuz i messed my hand up pretty bad installing the stuff. So that rasp has got to go. Im thinking of getting xlr8 resonated Catback exhaust. Is anyone else running that setup?

Edit:: i think ima just take the cheap way out and order magnaflow resonator. I the mid muffler deleted and a AERO resonator installed right now but i think the magnaflow will fix the rasp for me

The sides are painted blue so you would have to have them painted white. (if you decided to cancel your order and contact this guy in charlotte)

ok cool thanks for the heads up. I got a pretty good deal on mine cuz the company price matched another website that was out of stock.

now im debating whether to go ahead and get the xlr8 resonated catback like i had on the black TLS or something else. Im trying to find someone running rv6 pcd, jpipe, and xlr8 catback to see if they have any rasp. cant figure out if i should order the non resonated and add a magnaflow res or order the one that already has a resonator and see how it sounds. i cant stand the rasp i have on my TL now since i have no cats, no mid muffler, and just a resonator and my oem mufflers.

 

Install on a LIFT FTMFW...the 4 times I've removed it and reinstalled it...on my back under the car.

AND, I am jealous that your PCD's have the bolts that are already fixed to the bottom...my high flow cats have holes and you have to hold the bolts in place to make it work.

I have the EXACT same setup and am faced with the same decision! I want to get rid of the rasp in a bad way...

I'm contemplating the ATLP V2 and resonating it with the super long magnaflow.

 

akrapovic, i have v3 pcds, v3 jpipe, and xlr8 quad exhaust w/ a magnaflow#10426 resonator. the exhaust was originally non-resonated. with this combo, i have little to no rasp. HTH.

 

i just put the deposit on the rv6 true dual exhaust fml. hope they get here before import alliance or im not driving my raspy POS lol.

thanks i just put down the money for the true dual exhaust but im thinking i might cancel it due to i want to fix this shit asap and when i order stuff from xlr8 usually gets to my house in 3-4 days. ill wait to hear the ETA from richie on the true dual and figure it out from there

edit:: after listening to this video again . im sold on the full rv6 setup. sounds so sick ill just have to be patient and not drive my car til the exhaust systems get sent out.

I'd be more "sold" if I heard it under load rather than just revved in place...plus, my neck tingling rasp is only at 3500 to 4500 rpm's...and only heard under load.

Plus, honestly, I'd like a deeper sound than the one in the video...richie makes great products, but I feel like his aim is more toward making the most power without too much concern for how it sounds.

so i clay barred my car today for the first time by myself and FML it took forever. I was planning on waxing it after but i said the hell with it, it can wait til next weekend. Trying to go ahead and get some nice coats of wax for this hell of a summer here in NC that's going to fry my paint. Prolly wax next weekend, then do another clay bar and wax right before the IA meet....if anyone wants to give me a hand *cough italino cough tyler cough*

I should also have some new wheels before the IA meet but im not gonna say more then the fitment is going to be crazy.....like 19x10.5 et 22 in the rear..WUUUTTTTT!!!! well see how it goes if i get them before the end of july.
