Yeah i butchered the front bumper. My cousin painted the edges of the hood and the front bumper a matte black. He taped up the 'ACURA' and it turned out pretty good.
I entered Hot Import Nights in Charlotte this past weekend. Took a few pictures hope you dont mind.

The perch is set at the lowest setting on the sleeve in those pictures. I would say its ~3 inches down from stock height. This is the first time i've driven the TL around after setting it there and so far there is no rubbing issues. I suspect once I get the camber adjusted back to 0 degrees there might be an issue with the fender and tire coming in contact with one another.
CCColtsicehockey...I'm sure you dont mind me posting your euro R on the thread. I'm planning on making it up there to a few shows this season.
It turned out we both received an offer for sponsorship through Valvoline Synpower. I was pretty ecstatic.

YOu want my honest opinion Tein?
I dont dig the black CF hood with a white car, I dont like the Aluminum grille strip wrapped in black vinyl on the side (next to head light), it makes the car look ugly.
Beside those two things, I love everything about your car.
Question, I see you have stickers on the side of the front and passenger doors. You being sponsored or just put them on yourself? I'm not for one to prefer stickers on any cars.
Your car has been added to TEAM ELUSIVE in TEAM WDP

I'm gonna try a single exhaust setup. It's gonna be angled, and exit on the passenger side.
You done anything to your TL lately?

Thanks for your honest opinion. I'll admit carbon fiber isn't for everyone.
The stickers on the side of the car were custom made by a shop in Raleigh, NC. Unfortunately, those are not sponsors.
However, I was given the opportunity for a sponsorship with Valvoline at HIN this past weekend. I'll be receiving 2 Valvoline Synpower stickers in the mail sometime soon.

im not really feelin the canards. they are out of place or maybe just on a wrong angle. doesnt look clean and sleak. it messes up the flow fo the car.
i like everything else though, i like the matte black on the front bumper. is it just paint? im also feelin the vinyl wrapped aluminum trim. i think it looks slick.
you really need to clear or blacken out your headlights tho. or do something with it

I like the modifcation to the front of the car, all except the carbon fiber canards on the sides and the diffusers... not really my cup of tea. I like the grill though, you gave me some ideas about what I will do with my front end, use black as well, but no carbon fiber, and keep my grille OEM except for some painting.

if your changing your exhaust, I would be interested in picking up your used comptech cat-back!!! Hook a friend up!, and another thing, lets see some pictures of those black brakes and a couple shots in the daylight. I decided the black painted LE37's with polished lips are going to be mine, with blue brakes, and black volk lug nuts. Now I am deciding on weather to get rotora bbk and the OEM body kit, or the ronjon kit...

Maybe i'll figure out a way to paint the inner housing of the headlights black. That idea has potential to look nice.

1)mild weight reduction
2)possible increase in hp/torque at certain points in the powerband
3)louder exhaust note
4)i like the angled exhaust look
5)the blue on the tip will match the blue valve stems
6)reduction in amount of chrome
7)possibly the only 3rd gen TL with single exhaust outlet in the entire world

RacingHartACURA... thanks for posting the image of my car on the thread. Thats awesome that it made it on the car and model dot com website.
If anyone would like to see dyno results comparing the comptech cat back and the custom HKS carbon Ti exhaust, now would be a good time to let me know. I'll be glad to run this test. My prediction is a slight gain in the high end of the powerband.

The HKS carbon Ti muffler is already in...i just have to go pick it up. My plan is to either start a new pipe from the catalytic converter or cut the comptech pipe somewhere between the flange and the resonator. Hopefully i can have the pipe mandrel bent and exit out the passenger side at a 45 degree angle. It should look pretty hot and sound mean. I hope it goes well...ill let you know.
