If anyone would like to see more pictures of this TL let me know. A carbon fiber hood should be shipping out this week from cali and will be installed ASAP. Post installment pics will proceed.

If anyone has tried to modify the grille, you'll discover its actually built into the front bumper. I had to cut the pillar with a hack saw, shave it down with a file, and then made a template for the carbon fiber to hide the dirty work.
Carbon Creations 2 piece splitter for downforce at high speed.
The TEIN super street dampers are installed and the perch is set just below the midrange of adjustment. The EDFC is not wired up yet. Still contemplating what to do about the strut tower bar.
Comptech sway bar.
SPC Performance camber adjusters are installed.
The APEX'i V-AFC was found not to be compatible due to a complication with the tachometer. However, it is mounted on the dash.
Injen Technology RD cold air.
Comptech cat-back.

Correction: The V-AFC II is the model i have, not the V-AFC.
Hondaworks in Charlotte, NC told me they had installed them in the 2nd gen. TL's and assured me it wouldn't be a problem to install in the 3rd gen. They went to work and kept having to get information from the Acura dealership. They needed the pin outs and the correct wiring diagrams. The drive by wire throttle system was the first obstacle, but they found the throttle positioning sensor. The second obstacle was about needing a multi plex for the tachometer. Not sure what that is, but i do know the computer was reading that the engine was reving at 5,000 rpms while the car was supposed to be idling. The VTEC solenoid kicked in and made a loud pop and the operation was terminated.

The grill looks amazing man. I am really interested in doing the same thing to my car, except I want to use a much darker mesh, something in the dark grey/black range to match my headlights, black tint, and other features of my car that hold true to the black and white mix. Where did you purchase the mesh? And if you have any tips on doing this mod, I would greatly appreciate them.
At first I didnt think I liked the gold wheels, and carbon fiber enhancements, but they are starting to grow on me, and I must say that car does look awesome.

Try looking for mesh at various aftermarket performance shops around your area. I found mine at a local shop. Also look for some carbon fiber sheets with sticky back. Just dismantle the grille and you'll find a pillar underneath the aluminum part. You have to cut that pillar with a hack saw or whichever method you prefer. Then you just cut the carbon fiber sheet into 4 pieces and cover up the holes. I should take some closer pictures for you to see in detail.

More pics is always good when you don't see many good looking aftermkt set-up on new TL's. I would like to do the chrome grill mesh so pics would help. I have 2 questions for you:
1) How much did you pay for the lower carbon fibre grill?
2) Love the lowering of your car. IMO I think it is perfect lowering and how many inches did you go front and rear. My understanding is we have 3inch gap in front and 2 3/4inch in the rear???
Thanks bud!!!

I appreciate everyone's comments, compliments and inquisitions! And thanks to the people who transferred the pictures to this website because I couldn't get it to work.
The drop is between 2 and 3 inches, not exactly sure how much. Theres another inch and 1/4 it can be lowered. Had 6 people in it one night, never rubbed.
The carbon fiber 2 piece splitter is what youre talking about i think. It can be found at www.extremedimensions.com It's a universal part for $300.

....i'm sorry, but IMO I think the mods look a little... er.... too ricey.. I am not a fan of the front lip at all, and as far as the grill goes, ya sure looks OK, but it takes away from the vehicle. I'm not a big fan of dark rims though... With the lip & rims....dunno man... I'm sorry but....me no likey.
AGAIN...just my opinion, but every1 has different taste.

I think its 35% llumar tint charcoal -maybe. Gonna have the windows retinted because the rollers have scratched the tint. It's almost to the point where i have to roll the window down to see clearly.
Again, i'm enjoying everyones input. Don't be afraid!...shoot me straight.

HOLY CRAP! i like the rims and the grill....
dude, you are running your car on rubber bands... thats insane.... gluck with keeping your rims unbent...
CF splitters are interesting, little too ricey...
i really like the grill though, would you consider spending time to do a write up?

Yeah im gettin hella positive feedback about the grille. I'm gonna take some closer shots and different angles for everyone to see tomorrow.
Before i finished the work on the grille, i drove around for a few weeks with it half done (without the carbon fiber), and the first thing that came out of everyones mouth was ..."dude whats the deal with the grille". I would smile and tell them to be patient. Once the carbon fiber was evident, there hasn't really been any solid negative feedback.
