Yeah you're right that's when I was working my old job with slow ass days. It's ok I don't want to race him at willow because I hate for him to break his piggy bank open. Lol seriously. But for someone to school me with tires when I work at a tire store for 6 years was insulting. I bought some carbon metallic brake pads. Can you say lower 60-0
Dave, you act like a little boy. I've got 5 grand sitting here and it's not going to hurt me to lose it. In fact, I just had to pull $17k out for something else, I'll keep $5k aside. I'm a grown up with a grown up job, you're not going to get out of the race by betting a lot of money on it and "scaring" me. 5K isn't a lot of money by street racing standards. It's actually way more beneficial to you than it is to me but I won't ask that we adjust the amount based on our income.
I don't care what mods you do or don't have, race me. If you lose, you have got to be the worst driver on the planet.

Pads don't reduce stopping distances, tires do. You would think you would know this "working at a tire store for 6 years".

5grand 17grand is whatever to me. It's high but reachable. I started a new job and said bye to wrenching at a tire shop big deal. Easy money. My new job is a place where I call home and where I get my knowledge

It handles about the same as the TL. If it had the brakes to endure more than one lap and if it had the oil capacity and cooling to stay below 290F I would probably use it instead. That would kind of defeat the purpose of teaching Dave a lesson in a "slower" car.

IMO, you don't have the option to run it ANY differently than when you boasted about it being so fucking awesome. If that's the case, why shouldn't he be able to take some of the winnings and preemptively do some tuning to ensure a win.

My car is a dd, I've been running perfect. Smooth shifts consistent power. Everything is fine but in Palmdale where willow is heat can see 120degree easy. I h c it's up to you now if you still want to race me

I've got a friend that's a super bike instructor there. Let me ask for a favor (I hate asking favors so you better be committed).
We agreed on a race as is, this is the only reason for racing. Same as we both daily drive. Same tires and tune. In other words daily driver trim. If you want to race prep the cars I guess that's alright but you're kind of admitting you can't hang with my 198whp TL. If we're going to continually modify our cars I've got some cooling in a blue bottle I can use or hell, I might as well just pick the GN and run you on big Willow. Maybe I can use the BMW if it's broken in by then and swap tires with the TL but then you wouldn't have a up advantage. See how stupid it sounds and how pointless it is to race anything other than our daily drivers in daily trim?
I can make excuses too. My alignments set up for best tread wear. In addition to the. 200lbs of sound deadening and sound blocking that can't be removed I have a pair of 15s that weigh 55lbs each along with 3 amps. Did I mention it made 198hp lol. I'm on an inferior tire according to you in an inferior car according to you. Doesn't it suck listening to excuses? In the end I bet that my modest setup will beat your over the top setup that you've talked up for months. Now you want to insult me and use meth that I've suggested and you've arrogantly ignored?
I feel so stupid for bragging and doing what I'm about to do but you picked a bad time to bluff me with your $5k buy in. I just pulled $17,500 out to put down on the BMW that I didn't use. As I mentioned earlier:
