Cool S/C ACM knock sensor problem CEL

So I did what everyone else says to "fix" the cel problem and I put the red/green wire back to stock and erased the CEL light. The problem is that I feel a bit of a difference and am worried I chose the wrong wires because the damn CEL came right back on with "knock sensor bank 1". I am wondering if I chose the wrong wires or if something is wrong and I am not picking up on it. Also, do I leave the two wires that were unneeded from the ACM or connect them together to create a loop. PLEASE HELP...

I called CT and they said to disconnect the knock tap from the ACM. The guy I talked to said that the unit was originally designed to filter out the signal, but some cars are just extra sensitive.

Hooking it back up to the ECM directly will still allow the ECM to manage any knock.

Took apart the two wires that were cuircuiting the ACM red/green wire and put the red/green wire back to the TL reg Green wire. So now I have two wires from the ACM not being used which were connected to the red greens but the check engines still on.

I mean disconnect the batter, leave it sit for 10-20 minutes and go through the whole idle reset procedure outlined in the manual.

It's right in the manual. I'd recommend you pick-up a copy.

Yeah, the write-up on here was wrong when i did mine. Use the wires according to the service manual.

I think this is the thread I referred to: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...r+knock+sensor, but from what i remember it wasn't the red/green but the red/blue...i think.

Hi guys I just installed my Comptech S/C and I'm getting the same Knock Sensor code. Can we clarify its the Red/Blue wires for knock need to be removed from the ACM and NOT the Red/Green wires?

red/blue. the wire that goes to pin b6 (as per comptech's installation diagram).

Excellent thanks for verifying, I also checked the service manual after I posted and verified that its B6 red/blue. Based on the service manual:

Terminal # 6: RED/BLU KS (KNOCK SENSOR) Detects knock sensor sional With enoine knock ino : pulses
