RV6 V2 True Dual Exhaust for '04-'08 TL Type-S Quads Batch 2 Collecting deposits
#2041
If you want just the jpipe with x-pipe alone you are looking at $375 + jpipe.
A proper merge takes lots of labor to make right.
Let me know when you plan on coming. I have to make room the RV6 R&D lab is packed.

When we set up the dyno you can get free runs if you buy an exhaust.

Rich Rv6 is simply an awesome dude with an awesome company. We all know there are ONLY a few companies out there that provide us 3G TL owners with aftermarket support.
But.... RV6 in my opinion is THE ONLY COMPANY THAT KEEPS GOING & GOING. v1 pcds , v2 pcds , v3 pcds ... v1,v2,v3 j-pipe , true dual catback & now true dual v2.....
keep it up !!!!

Quick update on the X-Merge J-pipe. It sounds great with the true duals!! Although I can't really compare it to anything else. I'll have some pics and vids up in a couple of weeks as I'm heading out of town for a little bit.
Also, hypnoVlad failed. The dyno is booked until I leave, so the "after" part of the dyno will have to wait another 11 days. For those curious, a stock 6MT TL Type S makes ~263whp peak and VTEC kicks in at 4800 RPM yo. I'm guessing a 20whp gain. Place your bets folks.
SAE corrected with smoothing factor of 4.

No Sir...VTEC kicks in at 4950 (closer to 5000 rpm)...in earlier models it was around 4700 rpm...the dip you see is before the VTEC kicks in...
now with that said, 263 is effin awesome...and the torque curve is almost flat also am guessing you made 263 AFTER the HFC's...I know the Type S 6mt dyno close to 250ish...263 is insane....
i am eager to see the after dyno's...am guessing a round figure of 280whp after the exhaust/jpipe....also I am thinking once you get some intake work done, you will be very close to 300whp
I know Andy made 298 when he was fully bolted on

Thanks for the info on VTEC. I just assumed the dip was when it kicked in, yo.
263 is bone stock, without HFCs. No performance mods at all. I'm hoping to break 283 with HFCs, the jex pipe (J&X?), and TDs.
I'm taking the absolute accuracy with a grain of salt. The real value in these tests is finding the difference before and after. If the dyno is off, it's consistently off meaning that measuring a difference is possible, but absolute accuracy is always questionable.
Edit: When Rich's dyno is setup, I'll do a pull on his too. We'll see how different the results are.

RV6 Full Exhaust System
I finally completed my exhaust system with RV6 performance parts. The V2 True Duals are honestly the best sounding exhausts I have heard for the 3G. I highly recommend the V3 J-PIPE + HFPC as well, the who system together really makes a difference in performance. Good quality products, and Richie is very easy to get a hold of. Feel free to call him with any questions, very helpful guy!

^^^Totally agree. I know anyone that spends some coin to have a system will think theirs is the best...but I did my research and confirmed for myself when I got the RV6 system. The thing sounds intoxicating.

HFPC- High Flow Pre Cat - the catalytic converters mounted right off of each cylinder bank on your J35.

Not to burst your bubble, but you would need ~302-309 crank hp to hit 263 at the wheels, way outside normal tolerance levels. It's most likely because you used a dynojet.

Yes friend, get the J-PIPE! its well worth it. That with the duals sounds fantastic! HPFC's are a bitch to install and will cost more than the actual parts... I guess it depends on where you go.

Thanks in advance

I believe it doesn't ever separate the pulses entirely, probably some gains, and the bragging rights to be able to claim that it is ACTUALLY a true dual from primaries back.
Also, forgot to post this...RV6 with custom tips on POS car on right...hear that growl!

Why you got to slam the door on the POS on the right? Our doors are like delicate flowers. No matter how many times I told my wife, hunny, these doors close themselves. Just barely pull in and let go... No matter HOW HOW MANY times she closed the door like she was Ronnie Coleman.
