i didnt mean tl type s. I meant tls like plural. I have an 05 tl. Anyway im interested in doing something but im not sold on what yet. Def not getting pro cats but was looking into type s cats or maybe this. What is the cost?? I searched the forum but couldnt find it. What other forum are these on?? I cant seem to watch those videos for some reason either. Do these make the car really loud? What kind of power do these add by themselves? Any before and after dynos.

For the pricing you will have to PM me. The other forum is no allowed to be discussed on this site you will have to PM me for details. No the car is not much louder then with exhaust. I wouldn't recommend getting these without the J-Pipe which nets around 10WHP on the accord which should be slighty more on the TL. More dynos will come.

yea man... it isn't like going from stock cats to procats... procats are much smaller than the stock cats... half the time.... less stuff to remove...

I just got back from the dyno, both runs were done at P&L with SAE correction.

Green Plot: Richie V6 Accord 2003 V6 6MT
J-Shift Precat delete
J-Shift J-Pipe
J-Shift Test pipe
Tanabe Exhaust

Red Plot: Futureracer V6 Accord 2004 6MT

Stainless steel expands and contracts a lot from temp changes. It was added as extra insurance to protect against cracking.

not to mention it makes installation less of a headache... and extends the life of the precat deletes for us guys that are going to wrap them... lastly it also reduces vibration

Hold on, thats only a 15 WHP and 7 WTQ gain from removing all 3 cats, and adding an aftermarket exhaust. That would end up being around 2K for 15 WHP and 7TQ.

^^Yeah, I was hoping to gain 15 horse from just cat back and J pipe, then maybe a couple more with a test pipe. Well, we're still comparing different engines here. Anyway you slice it, 2 grand doesn't net huge gains on Accords or TL's, since the performance demand is so lean, thus driving up prices for mods.

Probably the ATLP exhaust developed on Acurazine that has dual tips at each side. There are also two people that sell J-pipes...Richie and ATLP....as far as cat deletes....I know Richie is releasing one right now and ATLP I believe is working on the same. Both good people with good reputations. As few parts are made for our model vehicles....these good fellows took the time to develop products that fit our needs AND vehicles and are generally available via group buys or direct. Personally...I run Richie products because the parts I have been looking for are generally available from him first....but ATLP has its merits as well...so certainly dont discount them in your decision as both people have very good reputations. High recommends to either companies/people IMO.

that was 15hp 7lbs tq on a j30... on a j32 6speed, you'd expect 20hp... on a j35 6speed... 25hp... tq numbers would generally stay the same

remember guys the procats put out these numbers too for $1000
people ate those up.. including myslef... and now they've started to fail all over

richie has a safe bet... on his hands... removal of the 2 precats and the addition of a 3rd high flowing cat.... that is the best course of action for our cars

there were rumors e-shift had been working on some sort of jpipe with the cats being pushed back... FAIL... our man richie has already done it

+++1 Exactly why I support him as he seems to always get it done on time and with more than excellent quality levels. A+ to Richie!

It would be cool if the pipes had tabs so the stock heat shields could be bolted on.

you don't need tabs for the stock heatshields to be bolted on.... just screw them over these and have a local shop tap weld

I'm only expecting ~15 whp on my J32 6 spd. Roughly 7 from the ATLP (according to Mike's dyno) and ~8 from exhaust if I go with Excelerate's resonated version. That's a pretty decent bump, along with maybe 2 or 3 more from the test pipe. I suppose I could get 20 from all three mods.

And how will this change the exhaust note? have stage 3 done to my car now ....i have richie j pipe very nice i must say my test pipe is on order....Jst worried bout it being to loud and raspy or to much drone....dnt want my girl friend to notice hehe....And there is no danger in running these or messing the motor up?

As stated by I hate cars.... Our cars have 2 primary o2 sensors and 2 secondary o2 sensors

Primary o2 sensors are for the ecu to calculate a/f ratio.... Secondary sensors are for emissions purposes to assure the cats are working properly

If you are super anal I suppose you can relocate the 2 secondary sensors behind the 3rd cat...

Richie will include defoulers also known as simulators which push the sensors away from the exhuast stream.... Making it believe it is reading exhaust flow from 2 functioning primary cats

It is a sure method to never set of a code

Oooops forgot to answer the second part of your question...

Ok stage 3 is just the resonator replacement of the stock parts which is just a sound enhancement...

Stage 3 + precat deletes = great sound

BUT for this setup running non supercharged... You should really either retain the factory 3rd converter

OR

The ideal setup is to replce the factory 3rd cat (600 cell for type s or 900 cell for base) and replacing it with the higher flowing converter Richie is releasing shortly which will be 300 cell

You won't really get any excessive noise since you still have the factory mufflers you will likely not get any rasp.... Just more of an airy tone...

the big problem is getting the stock cats out.... the install it very very easy, just time consuming.... if you have wramps and a rachet set... you can do it yourself.... now an air ratchet would really help...
