Noob question - 5W30 or 5W40 in a S/C'ed engine

Noob question here. Looking at dumping in some Motul oil for the next oil change. Had a look at Motul's site and got major confused; they have SOOOO many different types. Talked to one of the authorized resellers (a Honda Dealership), and they said the typically for a NA engine, they would use the "8100 Eco-nergy 5w30". But since I am S/C'ed, the 5w30 is too thin and I need to go to the "8100 X-Max 5W40".

Any oil guru's out there to throw in ?? Our winter's here gets pretty cold!!! I try not to drive in the winter, but there are times I need to take the car out.

5w30 is fine. I run it in Redline and have for awhile.

Run 5W-30 and run a Redline racing motor oil.

All the other synthetics like "Royal Purple", "Mobil 1", "Penzoil", aren't really 100% synthetic. Redline is. If you're A/T, Redline/Amsoil Synthetic ATF would be good also

I've been using Mobile1 for awhile, and then realized they're no longer full synthetic. But they still have the "fully synthetic" labels on their bottles. Anyway, I have the Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluids for the BBK setup, and Motul ATF fluid for the slush box prior to the S/C install. I am quite pleased with both fluid so far, so I thought might as well dump in some Motul engine oil as well!

Thanks for the inputs guys!
