I let someone drive my car and his first comment afterwards was: "You can hear everything" regarding how loud the cabin is with no sound deadening.

If I put my iphone music on full volume you can barely hear it. I would have to almost yell to have a conversation on the highway.

When you drive in the rain it sounds like there is a waterfall in the back seat.

Im not complaining, I like it. The waterfall effect combined with the motor mount vibrations are very relaxing. Less rattles now since no plastic left.

it's funny, what tickles all our pickles...being low is more of a priority to me than the extra HP!

just me though...
PLUS, I vaguely remember coilovers weighing in at quite a few pounds less than oem shocks/springs. In which case, I just made up your mind for you.

and I'm debating on ripping out the firewall insulation but I'm afraid of being denied coverage in case something does happen & my car catches fire. Has anyone looked into this?

We all have different preferences, but I will offer my thoughts for what it might be worth -

It appears that you are really getting hooked on the Diet. If this is true, buy a NEW set of coilovers.... not just any brand. Get only the XLR8's ISC N1 Coilovers -or- BC Racing Coilovers.

The XLR8's ISC N1 Coilovers -or- BC Racing Coilovers offer superior adjustability. And superior damping adjustability. IF you are getting hooked on the diet, you will soon find yourself driving faster than before. Faster driving requires stiffer suspension in my opinion. And if you get radical with the diet, the car **WILL DEMAND** a very performance orientated suspension with a lot of damping to control the violent maneuvers that the car is now easily capable of doing.

A radical diet and stiff suspension set to maximum damping is * * * H E A V E N * * *

If you dream of having a grown man's go-kart that you can drive on the streets, THIS IS IT !

This is correct. And, also include not being able to hear on the cell phone. For anyone planning to do a hardcore diet, please make plans to use an iPOD with ear buds. It is the only solution. After using the iPOD and earbuds, I actually prefer it over a radio/speakers. If I was driving a normal car again, I would still use the iPOD/earbuds.

I still have and still use my oem keyless/security system. When I mentioned the aftermarket security system, I was using it just as a random example of anything aftermarket that *might* draw too many micro amps with the ignition off.

With *no* aftermarket stuff, the small 11.5 Lb battery can handle 2 or 3 days of sitting. Too much longer and a trickle charger is needed.

My point is that if you have any aftermarket stuff, please be aware that you need to see if it will cause issue with the small battery due to the aftermarket stuff drawing too many micro amps with the ignition off.

I never weighed the pieces individually. A rough guess would be 4 pounds combined.

Thanks for the battery answer, sometimes I am no sure how extreme you go when talking about diet loss I was thinking you might have gotten rid of your keyless entry
