the guy is clearly a crook. that or he is simply too lazy and doesn't give two shits about his customers.. actually all that is true based on his performance here.
and race season.. lol tuner mia.. what does that have to do with your refund and the missing parts people are waiting for. this guy comes up with excuses after excuses.
he told me to confirm my mailing address and i did so he can ship me my wideband, this was over 2 weeks ago. agian.. excuses after excuses then HE goes mia.
product has so much potential too bad it was with the wrong guy.

I'm so disappointed because I saw the potential this made my car first hand. I even talked to a local tuner that said they would have no problems tuning the ECU as long as it was MS3 comparable. In fact they were anxious cause my car is the only TL they dynoed. But this is just so disappointed to me. Just tired of all the promises not being fulfilled.
Apologies for the long post; just wanted to vent too.

Disappointed to see this as well. Rodney seems to know what he is talking about, and was very confident he and the fab guy could mod his turbo kit to fit my j35 Accord motor. I was ready to go until I mentioned staying street legal and he said we'd need to hold off. At least he was honest about that, maybe he will work through the ECU issue.

Although Rodney has been a disappointment that doesn't mean this project has to die.
bmeyer is setting up a site and will be looking for people to give their know how on things like this.
I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks and plan to take out my MS3 and harness to map the harness and document the MS3 internals. I'm also planning on purchasing the new knock unit and realtime clock if the pins are still available.

Trying to get the most perf bang for my $, not a mechanic so I went to the web to see what enthusiasts are doing, that's when I saw mods on here from L's TL so I joined. Kept seeing J&R come up and saw people sucessfully using the turbo kit (ie libert69) so I called. Keeping the car street legal with his ECU became the sticking point and Rodney suggested we put off doing anything as he is currently working through the isssues. That is all I have.

The unfortunate part is that because of Rodney, the whole concept of the MS3 ECU in the TL has such a bad reputation that newbies may never bite. Hopefully that will change when there's enough documentation for others to get started on their own though. It's really not difficult.

Hey swoosh can you ask him to get my refund also. The amount of bad customer service i saw on this thread scared me away. I don't mean to be rude...I was very interested, spoke to him an everything over the phone awhile back (nice guy), even texted him, had the $ and just saw problems people were posting once they got ecu installed, plus the cust service declining...and just said F it
Thanks in advance

i really wish this GB went like the Supercomputer pedals/door sills GB that I had organized, it was perfect !!! orders came in, parts went out, everyone installed it and was happy....this seems like its on the exact opposite pole....

^i dont think you can really compare the 2 different products. they're completely different. SC stuff was just a fabbed up cookie cutter item that was easily made, bought, and shipped.
this JNR thing obviously was crooked from almost the beginning. looks like he either spent all our money, or never really had a game plan for all of this. it takes a lot of mistakes for something to crumble so badly...he had numerous chances to make things right and chose to ignore all of it.

How does a 6MT base with intake, j pipe, 3rd cat delete and Greddy cat back dyno only 224-226 STD on a Dynojet?
That's like 216 SAE, which is on the low side of what a bone stock 6MT base should do. Maybe it wasn't running 100% with the stock ecu, and that's why the gains with the JnR were so high?
Anyway, I'd like to get in on this GB, but I'm about to buy new wheels, so the ecu will have to wait until spring/summer for me.

A year to the day later, and so glad those Forgestars were calling my name. And I thought the two month wait on those was long. I'd probably still be empty handed had I gotten in on this GB.
^^^ he is bro....i was talking to him and realized what kind of customer service am about to receive....
honestly, i dont mind paying a little extra for the customer service....rather than "ohh i sold it to you, now its your headache".....
the minute i spoke to him, the next i placed my order
alright people, we need few more on the list....so we can get all this started up !!!

Gotta love the irony...unfortunately I was one of the poor souls who fell into the hype as well...
Couldn't have said it any better...no hype, no getting screwed over, just a quality product with real customer service...done and done...

Oh, I was totally fine with it until he had my money. After that, it was all down hill. All of you guys should just be thankful it was <$2k. At one point he had over $10k of mine.

bmeyer: we got nothing against you....when we heard what you had to say and what rodney had to say, lets just say he was more convincing and ofcourse all of us were biased as we were giving a vendor 1400 bucks of our hard earned money....
Aaron, you were the 3rd to pay....and you got is before Justn/Feji others only because their harness was on back order....lucky def favored you in buying the ecu and more so in selling

Thanks for the reply....... I changed my clutch just before I installed my MS3... Stock clutch.... But I didn't change my flywheel or resurfaced it.... Mechanic said it should been fine........I had about 175000km when I changed it so flywheel should be beat up.
When MS3 installed lights on..... When uninstalled no light..... I guess the MS3 add power which causes my clutch to slip.....time for CM/FW.....
