Anil, honestly bro...if I were you I'd tell Rodney to handle it on his own. You've done more than enough. It's his business (literally and figuratively). Your involvement has been so helpful to do many members, but Rodney's evasiveness is unacceptable. He needs to be the one responding, not you. New product, sh*t like this goes down...can't help it. Seems like almost ALL our vendors could learn a thing or two about communication and keeping the customer informed. Most people don't mind waiting for something if the expectation is set...no communication feels like you got mugged in an alley and are patiently waiting for your wallet to be returned.

And yes, I'm part of the "not buying but chiming in" demographic but definitely don't consider it adding fuel to anything.

 

Sonnick i completely agree man....and it would be easy to just stop posting and not worry about posting here and just have Rodney send my shit and call it a day....but i guess thats the difference between a member who is on here to help and a member who is on here to add sarcastic comments even thow he has not bought the product or intend to....look couple pages back and you will see a whole lot of people just posting even thow they dont know the story....

anyway i will continue to give updates from my side whenever i get anything from Rodney and if people have a problem with that i bet they will have to learn to live with it....

My ecu knock monitr and harness are all that I'm missingand should all be ready to ship as well to complete my order. Rodney sending JUST the ecu to noober was to quiet him down. I will not sit down and just wait any longer for new harnesses to become available again.

No disrespect taken over here! We're all waiting for our shit to come in the mail. We're all in the same boat, waiting on false promises. He hasn't shut me up by sending me just the ECU unit. I'm on vacation, and still constantly checking in to see when and where the fuck my stuff is coming. So I can inform my friend to go over to my place to wait for the stuff to come. If I could get an instant refund I would have awhile ago.
This is by far the worst service to customers I have ever experienced. As soon as I get my stuff, I'm never doing business with JnR again. /rant.

Alex, you can get your harness first it doesn't matter to me, it was just because I was promised mine the week after my ECU arrived. But then again, promises with this business is short lived.

 

If that's aimed at me in any way, I apologize to the thread and AZ for not just taking that offline. It was just friendly back and forth with Anil as per usual.

Update: Like Anil has said a couple times already, Rodney called me this morning to apologize for not getting back to me and not mailing my money when he originally said he would (last Monday 6/11). He also said he mailed my check today and it should arrive about Tuesday. He said he will send me the tracking number as well, which I have yet to receive.

I get the impression that Rodney just needs a lot more time than he anticipated, which he's buying by giving out target dates and responding here and there. A little unorthodox but I really don't think he has the intention of just keeping anyone's money. I'm sure everyone will receive their products eventually. He also didn't anticipate having to return anyone's money.

I didn't mean to get on Anil either, because honestly...he's getting strung along with the information he's being provided too. At least he's trying to keep the vendor in a good light.

He'd be better served just coming on (R, not A) and saying hey all, I ran into trouble...I won't be able to get ALL the ECU's out till January of next year and then at least people will have a real expectation that he can actually meet.

Nah I didn't order it. I was on the original list, but ran into a few problems. Although, I could've ordered it maybe a week after the group buy "ended", I thought to myself that I'm going to use the people in GB as guinea pigs and make sure they work 100%. Granted, they're several turbo guys already using it, but I just want to make sure. Not bashing Swoosh or Rodney, just a precautionary measure is all.

edit - i was running an auto oem ecu on my 6spd mt with a mt oem wiring harness at first. just kept the center plug unplugged (5 for plugs for auto, 4 plugs for mt) unplugged and it works
