Fan Switch ?
Does anyone know where the fan switch is on our car? I installed the mugen T stat today and I cant find the fan switch. Here is a diagram of our car and it is not # 13. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Are you sure it's not #13? Fan switch is essentially a temperature sensor. The sensor that actually reads the coolant temperature is located elsewhere. It's my understanding that the temp sensor next to the t-stat is the fan switch.
On the 2G, the fan switch is where #18 is in that diagram. But I guess they relocated it.
Sorry I couldn't give a definitive answer.

Check these out
On the third gen tl #13

Now on the 2nd gen TL they have a sensor and a fan switch number 14 and 15. http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
So there is a sensor on ours but no switch that I can find.

i talked to a tech at acura...he looked on all his stuff and couldnt find a fan switch in fact said there wasnt one after looking and the the PCM must use the ECT to tell it when to turn on the fans...so you can do one of a couple things...rig a switch to the fan relay wait for the hondata reflash and see if they tell the ecu to activate the fans at 180* or if you know a tech there consult device can do this...however it wont hurt anything to have the tstat w/o the switch all that will happen is the tstat will open at 183* but the fans wont both come on till 197* ...
As far as installing the t stat, you will have to remove the comptech elbow and below that there is only two bolts holding it in. The bottom one is a pain in the ass because of the wiring harness. If you can, move the wiring harness out of the way. It is pretty easy. You will have a bit of antifreeze leaking out though. When you put it back together start it and let it warm up to operating temp and shup it off. Open the radiator cap and fill up. I added water wetter to the 50/50 also. Lowers temp by 8 degrees. Water and water wetter lowers over 20 degrees.

againstallodds, do you think that t stat helped any. Already have the spoon radiator cap was just wondering about your thoughts on the t stat mod.
Then again, with a charger and NOS you probably wouldn't notice if the t stat mod is doing anything haha!
Just wondering if you noticed anything after the install though. thx!
